A hermetically-sealed electrical feed-through device includes a conductor, an insulating sleeve, and an outer ferule interconnected in a manner preventing relative rotation therebetween and/or includes a thermocouple in direct contact with the conductor for monitoring temperature. The conductor can have a body section extending along an axis and having an outer contour including flats or an outwardly-extending eccentrically-shaped lobe. The sleeve confronts and covers the body section of the conductor and accommodates and engages the outer contour at the flats or lobe to prevent rotation of the conductor relative to the sleeve, and the outer ferrule sandwiches the insulating sleeve between the outer ferrule and the outer contour of the conductor. The outer ferrule accommodates and engages the sleeve adjacent the outer contour of the conductor at the flats or lobe to prevent rotation of the insulator sleeve relative to the outer ferrule.

A cylindrical battery according to an aspect of the present invention includes an electrode assembly including a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate wound together via a separator, an electrolytic solution, a bottomed cylindrical housing can, and a sealing unit fixed by crimping of an open end of the housing can via a gasket. The sealing unit includes a valve member having a circular outline, a metal plate connected to a central portion of the valve member so as to be farther inside the battery than the valve member, and an annular insulating member disposed between an outer peripheral portion of the valve member and an outer peripheral portion of the metal plate. The valve member has a sloping region in which the thickness decreases or increases continuously along the radial direction. 1. Battery structures are formed such that the use of wires and soldering is eliminated or reduced. The battery plates can be infused down their anode and the cathode edges with an electrically conductive epoxy or sealant that connects said plates to each other and takes the place of traditional copper wires. Additional connection channels, including those in the top structure, can be filled with electrically conductive materials to replace wires and make the necessary connections. The battery structures can be configured to create a dual voltage battery. The insertion of the battery plates is easily configured within the assembly process to achieve a variety of in-series or in-parallel connections thus varying the voltage and amperage to achieve a desired output, all within the same enclosure. 1. A battery , comprising:an encapsulation casing having an opening in an end thereof;a battery cell arranged in the encapsulation casing; anda sealing cover bonded with the end of the encapsulation casing to seal the opening.2. The battery according to claim 1 , wherein the sealing cover comprises:a cover plate arranged in the opening and covering the opening; anda side wall extending along an edge of the cover plate and outwardly protruding from the cover plate, and the side wall is bonded with the encapsulation casing.3. The battery according to claim 2 , wherein a material of the side wall is same with a material of at least one of an inner wall and an outer wall of the encapsulation casing.4. The battery according to claim 3 , wherein the material of the side wall and the material of the at least one of the inner wall and the outer wall of the encapsulation casing are both polypropylene.5. The battery according to claim 2 , wherein the side wall is bonded with the inner wall of the encapsulation casing claim 2 , and the side wall covers an end surface of the encapsulation casing.6. The battery according to claim 3 , wherein the side wall crosses over an end surface of the encapsulation casing and is bonded with the outer wall of the encapsulation casing.7. The battery according to claim 6 , wherein the side wall envelops the end surface of the encapsulation casing in the sealing cover.8. The battery according to claim 2 , wherein an upper surface of the side wall is higher than an upper surface of the cover plate relative to a bottom of the encapsulation casing.9.
