To reduce sidelobes in the radiation pattern of a phased array dipole antenna, a plurality of parasitic antenna elements are provided adjacent to the array of dipole elements of the antenna. The driven elements of the dipole array and associated director elements are formed as patterned conductor elements on one surface of a thin dielectric substrate. Feed elements for the driven dipole array also comprise patterned conductor elements formed on an opposite surface of the substrate. The feed elements have a geometry and mutually overlapping projection relationship with the conductors of the driven dipole elements, so as to form a matched impedance transmission line through the dielectric substrate with the patterned dipole elements. The parasitic elements are formed on additional dielectric substrates spaced apart from and parallel to the thin dielectric substrate upon which the driven dipole array is formed.

This antenna has a UHF dipole of a Yagi type with director (1) and reflector (3) elements and a doublet (2) located between them. A VHF doublet, whose dimensions are only just larger than the UHF elements, is connected to the UHF antenna by a twin cable and located behind the UHF reflector. The electrical dimensions of the VHF doublet are adjusted by capacitive loading elements (9) connected to the extremities of the stubs. These are shaped around the Yagi elements and the whole array is enclosed in a rotating housing. This gives a VHF/UHF antenna of UHF size with improved VHF performance compared to those with folded elements.

Embodiments augment a primary antenna of a receiving station with a correlated heterogeneous antenna element. For example, embodiments of an augmented antenna system may be utilized in situations in which positive carrier to noise ratio (C/N) conditions are present (e.g., more signal than noise is present in the desired signal and more signal than noise is present in the interfering signal). 1. 本发明公开了一种天线辐射单元及天线,天线辐射单元包括:一对交叉设置的振子和寄生单元组件,寄生单元组件设置在交叉设置的振子相邻的两个振子臂形成的夹角内,且寄生单元组件与振子固定连接,振子传输的辐射信号通过寄生单元组件反射收敛。本发明实施例通过在一对交叉设置的振子周围增加设置寄生单元组件,即可构成天线的辐射单元,结构极为简单,可直接采用钣金件构成,加工制作方便;本发明实施例通过寄生单元组件对振子传输的辐射信号进行二次反射收敛,从而产生一个新的辐射,帮助扩大原振子的口径效果,达到收敛整个天线水平面波束宽度,从而达到减小整个天线体积的效果,且天线结构简单,重量轻,使得生产及维修成本均得以降低。

A multi-band multi-element directional antenna array having a driven element and at least one parasitic element with a network at the center of each element interconnecting element opposite side radiators. While some of these would be a driven element and either a reflector or director parasitic element array most applications call for at least three elements, a driven element, a reflector element and a director element, and for some applications, additional parasitic director elements are added. While antenna arrays embodying features hereof may be adapted as two band f 1 f 2 , f 2 f 3 , or f 1 f 3 antenna arrays, primary useage would be in a three radio band f 1 , f 2 , f 3 version with band nominal center frequencies related, approximately by the progression 1, 1.5, 2 (example 14, 21, and 28 MHz). Reflector and director elements with their center networks as parasitic elements are structured to resonate at frequencies up to ten percent displaced from respective band operating frequencies--reflector elements at lower frequencies and directors at higher frequencies. Some of the arrays employ folded elements for improved unidirectional radiation patterns and structural advantages.
