In one example, a consolidated media stream that includes source media packets from one or more sources is sent to one or more downstream receiving devices. Crosstalk may be determined by estimating complex coupling coefficients between the received RF signals utilizing a de-correlation algorithm across a frequency bandwidth comprising the desired and crosstalk signals. The down-converted signals may be low-pass filtered and summed with an output signal from a cancellation filter. The complex coupling coefficients may be determined utilizing the de-correlation algorithm on the summed signals, and may be used to configure the cancellation filter. Crosstalk may be canceled in a receiver path from a cancellation filter receiving low-pass filtered down-converted signals from another path.

An adaptive downlink control channel structure is provided to enable a transmitter to switch between forward error correction codes that use either Chase combining or incremental redundancy hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) techniques. Chase combining HARQ can be more efficient for forward error correction codes that use higher code rates, while incremental redundancy can be more effective for forward error correction codes that use lower code rates. The transmitter will also selectively comprise the redundancy version indicator bits depending on the HARQ method selected, which can reduce the sizes of the transport blocks when not using incremental redundancy. A receiver device can also decode transport blocks and determine whether a redundancy version indicator is present based on the forward error correction code selected.

A system and method are described for correcting for a loss of message boundary in a real-time data transmission over an interconnect between a source node and a destination node in an apparatus. In the apparatus, a destination node received one or more messages, wherein each message includes one or more data frames, and each data frame of each message includes an end-of-message flag and a message sequence number, the end-of-message flag set when the data frame is the last data frame in a particular message, and the message sequence number is different for different messages. A loss of message boundary is determined for a previous message when a new data frame of a new message is received and the new message sequence number of the new data frame is different from the previous message sequence number and a last received data frame did not include a set end-of-message flag.
