The mobile device prompts a capture of an image by a camera of the mobile device. The mobile device determines whether the image is captured from a passenger space in the vehicle. Once so determined, the mobile device disables the blocking of the user interaction with the one or more functions of the mobile device. 1. A method comprising:prompting, in response to a request to disable blocking of a user interaction with one or more functions of a mobile device of a user in a vehicle, a positioning of the mobile device in a specified orientation;capturing a first image by a first camera of the mobile device while the specified orientation is maintained;prompting, while the specified orientation is maintained, a capture of at least a second image by a second camera of the mobile device, the second image including one or more items;determining, as a function of the at least the second image, whether the one or more items included in the second image is captured from a passenger space of the vehicle while the specified orientation is maintained;upon determining that the one or more items is captured from the passenger space of the vehicle, prompting the user to provide an input; andupon validating the input, disabling the blocking of the user interaction with the one or more functions of the mobile device.2. Low-power environment monitoring and activation triggering for mobile devices through ultrasound echo analysis

Systems and methods are disclosed that provide for low-power monitoring of the acoustic echo path around a device to enable device triggering based on activity detection in the environment. An ultrasonic (or more generally an acoustic) reference signal is played through a speaker at well-chosen intervals and its echoes recorded through a microphone. The recorded signal is analyzed to obtain an estimation of the total echo path or echo energy. By monitoring this estimation variation, significant changes in the echo path or echo energy can be identified and used as a trigger. In one embodiment, a hand approaching a phone changes the echo path, activating the phone to a power on mode. In another embodiment, a user using a phone close to the ear changes the echo energy, triggering the phone to select the “ear-fit” mode speaker/microphone.

If the motion data is greater than or equal to the first threshold, the terminal determines, based on data detected by the proximity sensor, whether an external object is approaching, and determines, based on a determining result, whether to subsequently perform the mistouch prevention action.
