A mobile device, system, and method are directed towards enabling a user, virtually on the fly, to invite another user to participate in an on-line conferencing session, by providing a link that automatically enables the other user to participate in the conferencing session. In one embodiment, the conferencing session is a text messaging conference session, such as one that might employ instant messaging, or the like. In one embodiment, a user may request a conferencing session to be established, by sending a request to a server device. The request may, include an identifier of an invitee with whom the first user wishes to communicate. The server determines a unique link for the invitee and session, and sends the invitee an invite message with their unique link. Selecting the unique link enables the invitee to automatically access and to participate in the conferencing session with the first user.

The adaptive beamforming unit performs adaptive beamforming by steering a directivity pattern of the array of sound sensors in a direction of the spatial location of the target sound signal, thereby enhancing the target sound signal and partially suppressing the ambient noise signals, which are further suppressed by the noise reduction unit.

In Voice-over-IP or like systems, audio mixers are used for implanting conferencing applications for IP networks. In such systems, a problem exists as how to pass through user signal events, such a DTMF digits, in-band as well as out-of-band telephony events (RFC 2833/4733) because they are not handled well in such systems. In accordance with certain embodiments, a signalling event in incoming audio packets or user signalling event received out-of-band is detected at one of the inputs. A meta-data representation of the signal event is attached to the audio and passed through the mixer for regeneration, as in-band or out-of-band telephony events, on the other side of the mixer.

One embodiment is a method comprising: a conferencing system establishing a first online conference with a first set of participants and a second online conference with a second set of participants, the first and second sets of participants having a common participant simultaneously participating in both; the conferencing system simultaneously presenting to a client device associated with the common participant a first conference user interface and a second conference user interface, the first conference user interface for providing the first online conference and the second conference user interface for providing the second online conference; and the conferencing system enabling the common participant to selectively designate one of the first and second conference user interfaces as a primary display and the other as a secondary display.

A disposable number is assigned to a conference bridge that is only activated for a defined period of time, after which the disposable number is disposed and deactivated. Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems, methods, computer program products, and the like, for linking a plurality of conferences that are occurring on separate conference bridges. In one embodiment, the network is configured to determine when two or more related conferences are occurring on separate conference bridges. Related conferences may be any two conferences that share the same attribute. For example, two conferences may be initiated on separate conference bridges under the same account number for a user of the system. When the related conferences are detected, the network links the two conferences through the network such that participants in both conferences may now interact as if in a single collaboration conference. The linking allows the network to combine related conferences without the need to disconnect anyone conference from a conference bridge.
