A control unit switches operation of the input device from one of the control modes to another one of the control modes upon determining that the variation in the acceleration has reached a predetermined threshold. The control unit generates an output signal that corresponds to the input signal and that is in accordance with a current one of the control modes in which the input device operates. A transmission unit transmits the output signal to the controlled device.

Полезная модель относится к области скрытой связи, в частности к кодированию, декодированию, сжатию, декомпрессии цифровых видеосигналов (цифровых изображений) и может быть использована для построения устройств снижения избыточности информации, используемой при представлении цифровых изображений и обеспечения их защищенности при передаче по каналам связи. Технический результат заключается в уменьшении объема данных, используемых для передачи информации цифрового изображения с учетом семантической значимости элементов изображения, а также уменьшение объема данных, подлежащих зашифрованию, для обеспечения защищенности передаваемых данных цифрового изображения. В устройство адаптивного сжатия и выборочного шифрования данных цифрового изображения введен блок разделения изображения в пространственной области на значимые и второстепенные части, которые затем отдельно сжимаются с различными коэффициентами сжатия (с использованием отдельных таблиц квантования). При этом данные второстепенных областей изображения квантуются с обеспечением большого коэффициента сжатия, в отличие от данных значимых областей, которые квантуются с обеспечением меньшего коэффициента сжатия и далее частично зашифровываются. Таким образом, заявленное устройство реализует дифференциальное сжатие данных цифрового изображения с точки зрения семантической значимости и выборочное шифрование данных семантически значимой части цифрового изображения. A stream of time-ordered data, such as a movie, is divided into multiple fragments of equal length, which are repetitively transmitted at different respective repetition rates. The fragments are reordered for transmission so that those which occur near the beginning of the original data stream are transmitted more frequently than those which occur later in the data stream. When a user enters a request to utilize the data, the individual fragments are stored upon receipt at the user's premises, and reassembled into a contiguous stream. The ordering of the fragments is such that the wait time required before utilization of the data can begin is limited to a predetermined maximum, and at least one copy of every fragment becomes available by the time it is needed.

Systems for controlling a presentation of data images in a video stream, comprising: at least one processor programmed to: transmit a video bit stream representing a plurality of images to a plurality of receivers using common transmission parameters; determine that a transmission link to one of the plurality of receivers is degraded; select one of the plurality of images for transmission to the one of the plurality of receivers; select degraded-link transmission parameters for transmission of the one of the plurality of images on the degraded transmission link, wherein the degraded-link transmission parameters are different from the common transmission parameters; transmit the one of the plurality of images to the one of the plurality of receivers using the degraded-link transmission parameters; and continue to transmit the video bit stream to at least one other of the plurality of receivers using the common transmission parameters.

Because these media are transformed into coded video streams (e.g. MPEG-2, MPEG-4, etc.), a user can watch them on a display screen without the need to connect to the Internet through a service provider. The user may request and interact with the desired media through a simple telephone interface, for example. Moreover, several wireless and cable-based services can be developed on the top of this system. In one possible embodiment, the system for generating a coded video sequence may include an input unit that receives the multimedia input and extracts image data, and derives the virtual camera scripts and coding hints from the image data, a video sequence generator that generates a video sequence based on the extracted image data and the derived virtual camera scripts and coding hints, and a video encoder that encodes the generated video sequence using the coding hints and outputs the coded video sequence to an output device. The system may also provide customized video sequence generation services to subscribers.

A video processing device may process video input comprising a plurality of streams, wherein images corresponding to at least some of the plurality of streams may be displayed concurrently. The video processing device may determine, prior to processing of a pixel in one of the plurality of streams whether the pixel comprises one or more keyed video parameters; and if the pixel comprises at least one keyed parameter, one or more other pixels may be selected, and a video parameter corresponding to the at least one keyed video parameter of the pixel may be generated based on the selected one or more other pixels. The generated video parameter may then be utilized instead of the at least one keyed video parameter during the processing of the pixel. This may comprise luma and/or chroma based scaling. Outputs of the processing of the pixel may be post-processed, by clamping at least one of the video parameters.
