This pairing often occurs over out of band (OOB) channels that differ from the main wireless channel. Examples of OOB channels are infra-red (IR), inductive near field communication (NFC), wires/cables, memory cards and so forth. As devices become more complex a multiplicity of these channels may be available on each one. The invention proposes automatically sending pairing data over multiple, preferably all, channels in response to some stimulus initiating pairing. This avoids the user hassle involved in selecting an OOB channel (eg. from a list).

The disclosure herein is directed toward systems and methods for pairing two or more devices into a wireless network and transferring data between two or more electro-stimulation devices. Specifically, the systems and methods disclosed herein may include pairing two or more devices into a network configuration using, in part, a pairing device to distinctly identify the devices to be paired and to pair the identified devices into a network. Moreover, the systems and methods disclosed herein may include transferring data between two or more devices using, in part, one or more electro-stimulation contacts for electro-stimulation therapy and using, in part, the same one or more electro-stimulation contacts for transferring data between two or more devices.

Afterwards, when the user requests access to the user device in a locked state, the user device is caused to capture of an image of the unique identifier affixed to the user face mask. The user device may further be caused to capture an image of at least a portion of the user's face to authenticate the captured unique identifier affixed to the user face mask with the captured portion of the user's face to verify the captured unique identifier and the captured portion of the user's face are associated with the user device. 1.
