The rods are secured by folding the tail end around the rods and inserting the tail end into the opening of the buckle and twisting the tail end so that a barb engages an edge of the buckle.

Part of the belt member passes through the annular body to form a loop of the belt member. The loop is adjustable into smaller sizes by pulling the free end of the belt member. When the free end of the belt member is pulled to make the loop of the belt member smaller, the side edge and the vertex of the corner of the inner bag can be pulled to eliminate or prevent slack of the bag.

A unitary plastic material cable strap fastener having a flange with a plug member on one side for engaging in a hole in a panel to hold the fastener in position. The plug having a stem with a head at its end and rows of radial wings arranged along its length. A stud extends from the opposite side of the flange coaxial with the plug. A flexible strap member is attached to the flange by a bifurcated end having a pair of legs formed by an opening in the strap end. The strap extends from the flange in the same direction as the stud with the stud extending into the opening with the legs straddling the stud. The strap is provided with a series of stud receiving openings for engaging the stud when the strap is formed into a loop. A bundling device includes a flexible, frangible strap having a plurality of engagement teeth. Each of the teeth has a notch. A strap engagement portion is connected to the strap. The engagement portion includes flexible wings positioned in opposed relationship and a strap receiving aperture therebetween to receive the flexible strap in a first direction, the flexible wings prevent removal of the strap in an opposite second direction. A raised engagement surface extends from each of the flexible wings, opposed ones of the raised engagement surfaces operable to frictionally contact one of the teeth. The strap is loaded to break at one of the notches, and a portion of the strap is retained between the flexible wings by contact with the raised engagement surfaces.

A rope guard and rope bundle keeper includes an elongate, flexible body having lateral edges extending between two ends. The body has a slit at each end; the slits extend inwardly away from the lateral edges in directions perpendicular to the length of the body. The body is made of a flexible, protective material, such as thick leather. As a rope guard, the body is placed between the tie down rope and the item to be protected in a region where the rope changes direction. The rope lies against the top or outer surface of the rope guard in the region between the two slits but passes through the slits to help maintain the rope guard in place.
