When the fence insert is secured at the second position, the elongate work piece abutment surface is positioned to intersect the second axis at a second point, and the first point is offset from the second point along said second axis.

A miter saw including a base having a plurality of grooves formed in a bottom surface thereof, a table rotatable with respect to the base, a rotary indexing mechanism and a locking mechanism. The rotary indexing mechanism includes a body fixedly connected to and rotatable with the table and a protrusion provided on the body. The protrusion can be received within one of the plurality of grooves in the base and thereby angularly index the table at a desired position with respect to the base. The locking mechanism is operably coupled to the table and is configured to lock the table at the desired position. The miter saw has a more reasonable and practical structure that allows angular indexing and interlocking of the table with respect to the base to be accomplished by a single hand.

The decorative head cover with flat structure increases the practicability in the actual operation process.
