Research finds that the PaPIP1-2 gene is differentially expressed in four samples in dormancy and germination stages of kernel apricot flower buds, the PaPIP1-2 endows the kernel apricot flower buds with cold stress resistance in a yeast expression system, and overexpression of the PaPIP1-2 in arabidopsis increases the activity of antioxidant enzymes and improves the tolerance of transgenic plants under cold stress. The important gene PaPIP1-2 related to cold resistance, dormancy period and germination period provided by the invention is helpful for cultivating kernel apricots with delayed flowering period in a transgenic manner, so that frost damage is avoided.
