Provided is a screening method which comprises: administering or irradiating lymphoid cells with a cytotoxic factor that is capable of injuring the lymphoid cells; incubating the lymphoid cells, which have been administered or irradiated with the cytotoxic factor, for a preset period of time; measuring the size of the lymphoid cells thus incubated; and assessing the effect of the cytotoxic factor on the lymphoid cells on the basis of the cell size. According to this method, the effect or drug efficacy of radiation, a radiation protective agent, an antioxidant, a radiosensitizer, a drug or ultraviolet rays can be economically and objectively determined within a short period of time.
