The catalyst can be applied to nitrobenzene hydrogenation for preparation of p-aminophenol. According to the invention, the use of traditional liquid sulfuric acid for providing acidic active sites required by the reaction is avoided, and the problems of equipment corrosion, environmental unfriendliness, difficulty in separation of the catalyst and the product and the like are greatly relieved. The used catalyst has good performance, the highest conversion rate of nitrobenzene is 100%, and the highest yield of p-aminophenol is 67.6%.
