A motor vehicle motion control health monitoring system includes a sensor and an actuator disposed on a motor vehicle. The sensors measure real-time static and dynamic telemetry data regarding the motor vehicle, and the actuators alter the static and dynamic behavior of the motor vehicle. The control module has a processor, a memory, and an input/output (I/O) port. The processor executes a program code portion stored in the memory, the program code portion including: an offline portion that collects telemetry data from the motor vehicle, performs a fault analysis on the telemetry data, and allocates tasks based on the fault analysis; and an online portion that analyzes the telemetry data to find faults within a particular sensor, actuator, or functionality utilizing a sensor and/or actuator system. The online portion mitigates deviations in telemetry data by sending corrections to one or more sensors, actuators, and/or functions of the motor vehicle motion control system.

The invention relates to fault isolation and mitigation in lane marking misdetection on a road. A system for a vehicle includes a controller and a plurality of sensors on the vehicle. A first sensor of the plurality of sensors is configured to detect a lane marking on a road. The controller is configured to store data from the plurality of sensors. In response to receiving an indication indicating a misdetection of a lane marking on a road based on data received from the first sensor, the controller is configured to: perform a plurality of processes in parallel, the plurality of processes configured to detect a plurality of causes of the misdetection of the lane marking, respectively, based on stored data; isolating one of these reasons as a root cause of misdetection of the lane markings; and providing a response for mitigating the misdetection of the lane markings on the road based on the root cause of the misdetection of the lane markings.
