Disclosed are a method and device for adapting the capacity of a storage device in an embedded system, which are applied to a Linux system. The method comprises: mapping a virtual memory, and performing a primary detection on the storage device to obtain the actual capacity of the storage device; re-mapping the virtual memory according to the actual capacity of the storage device, and performing a secondary detection on the storage device; and adding a corresponding partition table and registering the table. Through the present invention, the drive of different Flash capacities can be realized in the Linux kernel, and in spite of the size of the Flash capacity, the Flash drive loading and the loading of the corresponding partition table can be automatically implemented, thereby reducing the maintenance cost of the product and improving the flexibility and reliability of the product.

The method includes: setting at least one task function for implementing a predetermined function in a processor program, and configuring a task identity (ID) (the number of the task ) for each task function; setting a message queue, where each message in the message queue includes a task ID and a transmission data pointer; and extracting a message in the message queue, searching for the corresponding task function according to the task ID in the message, and transmitting the transmission data pointer in the message to the task function for dispatching the task function to implement an operation. The method and the device improve the design-ability and the performance efficiency of the program.
