The present invention relates to: a fluororesin having a low haze value in a melt-molded article, the fluororesin containing a repeating unit represented by general formula (1) and having a haze value of 2% or less in a hot-press molded article (a thickness of 1 mm); and a method for producing the fluororesin. In formula (1), Rf1, Rf2, Rf3, and Rf4 each independently represent one selected from the group consisting of a fluorine atom, a linear perfluoroalkyl group having 1-7 carbon atoms, a branched perfluoroalkyl group having 3-7 carbon atoms, or a cyclic perfluoroalkyl group having 3-7 carbon atoms, the perfluoroalkyl group optionally has an etheric oxygen atom, Rf1, Rf2, Rf3, and Rf4 optionally bond to each other to form a ring having 4-8 carbon atoms, and Rf2, Rf3, and Rf4 each independently represent a fluorine atom, a linear perfluoroalkyl group having 1-7 carbon atoms, a branched perfluoroalkyl group having 3-7 carbon atoms, or a cyclic perfluoroalkyl group having 3-7 carbon atoms ...
