According to the preparation method provided by the invention, integration of lignin depolymerization and lignin depolymerization product reduction can be realized, and lignin-based 3-ethyl adipic acid or 3-propyl adipic acid can be finally prepared through oxidation. The method provided by the invention can greatly improve the selectivity of lignin-based 3-ethyl adipic acid and 3-propyl adipic acid, and the selectivity is as high as 98%.
