Embodiments of films and methods for making the films are provided. The film comprises a fluoropolymer layer having a surface and comprising a melt processable fluoropolymer and a functionalized polymer dispersed throughout the fluoropolymer layer. A portion of the functionalized polymer is disposed at the surface of the fluoropolymer layer for bonding to a second layer. 1. A film comprising:a fluoropolymer layer having a surface and comprising a melt processable fluoropolymer and a functionalized polymer dispersed throughout the fluoropolymer layer, wherein a portion of the functionalized polymer is disposed at the surface of the fluoropolymer layer for bonding to a second layer, and wherein the melt processable fluoropolymer is present in an amount of from about 80 to about 99.5 wt. % of the fluoropolymer layer.2. The film according to claim 1 , wherein the functionalized polymer is present in an amount of from about 0.5 to about 20 wt. % of the fluoropolymer layer.3. The film according to claim 1 , wherein the melt processable fluoropolymer is present in an amount of from about 90 to about 99 wt. % of the fluoropolymer layer.4. The film according to claim 1 , wherein the melt processable fluoropolymer is selected from the group consisting of polychlorotrifluoroethylene claim 1 , ethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene copolymer claim 1 , polyvinylidene fluoride claim 1 , tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoro (alkyl vinyl ether) copolymer claim 1 , tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer claim 1 , tetrafluoroethylene-ethylene copolymer claim 1 , and mixtures thereof.5. A film layer and a method of forming a film layer are provided herein. The film layer includes a first polymer and a second polymer. The first polymer includes the reaction product of chlorotrifluoroethene and vinylidene fluoride utilized in the first polymer in an amount of at least 4 wt. %. At least one of the first film layer or the second film layer includes the first polymer and the second polymer. 1. The present invention is directed to a polyamide composition comprising from about 50 to 90% by weight of a polyamide, from about 10 to 40% by weight of a nitrile rubber, and from about 5 to 50% by weight of a reactive rubber which contains groups which are reactive with the end groups of the polyamide. The composition preferably contains about 2 to 20% by weight of a plasticizer for nylon, and can optionally contain from about 0 to 10% by weight of a polyamide chain extender. The present invention also includes gas permeation resistant articles including articles resistant to chlorofluorohydrocarbon permeation. Articles of particular interest include extruded hose and tubing which contain at least one layer made of the above described composition. It has been discovered that the composition of the invention resists chlorofluorohydrocarbon permeation and at the same time can provide the flexibility needed for use in various hose and tubing applications.
