A system for producing a three dimensional (3D) effect from displayed images is provided. Images of a video program are displayed in a complementary primary colors-encoded stereoscopic image format, which includes stereoscopic images of objects or a scene. Corresponding stereoscopic images are displayed in different colors. As the display refreshes, the display alternates the colors of the corresponding stereoscopic images and sends a control signal to active glasses worn by a viewer of the video program that causes a left-eye lens and right-eye lens filter to alternate the color which is filtered in by the respective filter. The viewer is able to view the video program with a perceived 3D effect without either of the lenses of the active glasses having to become opaque during display of the complementary primary colors-encoded stereoscopic image. 1. The method of the invention involves administration of a suppository containing chlorophyll, chlorophyllin copper complex or chlorophyllin. The invention involves using proteins that bind to sweet taste receptors in the gastrointestinal tract to modulate noxious symptoms that occur in patients. The methods involve the use of dried whole miracle berry, dried miracle berry juice, miracle berry extract and/or naturally derived or synthetic miraculin protein that is administered in a delayed release capsule or tablet. Use of a delayed release drug delivery system allows miraculin protein, the active ingredient of miracle berry, to bypass destruction in the acid environment of the stomach. This method also allows for the release of larger concentrations of the active ingredient(s) to be applied directly to portions of the gastrointestinal tract that contain specific sweet taste receptors. A network system for review and analysis of computer encoded microscope slides and specimens which were originally computer encoded from a microscope (attached via an encoder device to a local computer site), during an initial examination. The encoding includes parameters of viewing locations and events of interest on the slide, with such information being stored on a networked file server. The encoding also includes information regarding the manner in which the initial examination was conducted, for quality control purposes. The computer encoded information is retrievable at all remote locations of the network (either local or connected via modem) for supervisor review or for pathologist analysis. The network is further constituted by microscope sites having similar computer encoding devices attached thereto, which function, in this aspect, as computer terminals of the network. For enhanced analysis, the computer terminals have direct access to patient background information, e.g., such as from an HIS (hospital information system) for simultaneous slide analysis review in relation to the medical history of the patient. For diagnostic support, the computer terminals are networked with an on-line library of cell type images for comparison with the slide being examined. Slide diagnosis is either directly with the original slide on the microscope or with a scanned image of the slide stored in the network server or CD-ROM and retrieved on the computer terminal. The microscope is optionally motor driven, with computer control, to re-scan slides or slide images only at designated sites.

In this manner, the sheath is easily and quickly retracted thus rapidly completing deployment of the prosthesis. Rapid deployment of the prosthesis facilitates faster procedure times, thus minimizing the period of time during which blood flow is occluded.

A transporter for carrying trash cans or bins includes a mainly circular platform which is provided preferably with three radially extending slots. Holding and guide rods or plates are mounted so as to extend vertically up through the slots, preferably to a height of at least one-fifth of the diameter of the platform. The holding rods or plates are continuously adjustable in the radial direction. The holding plates may either be curved in order to provide firm surface contact with the outer surface of a mainly cylindrical trash can, or may be angled so that two of the holding plates securely hold the trash bin along two corner edges, with the third angled holding plate providing double line contact along an opposite side of the trash bin. When using holding plates, the platform is provided with raised regins and ridges to provide lateral and radial stability to the plates. Two or more transporters may be coupled using a preferably single-strand connecting member, the ends of which fit into coupling holes provided in the platforms of adjacent transporters. By coupling several transporters, several trash cans or bins may be moved at the same time as a train.

In the case where fluorescence from these organisms is very weak, comparatively high levels of electronic noise accompany the electronic signa ls that are generated by the fluorescence detector and its associated circuitry . Because these weak signals cannot be used to mark the presence of an organis m, another, less noisy, signal must be used to gate fluorescence detection. A gate derived from the low-noise light scatter signal from the organism collected over an acceptance angle of at least 20 degrees. Such a light scatter signal unambiguously gates even weak fluorescence signals. These signals can then be correlated with position along the major axis of elongat e, multicellular organisms and used as enhanced analysis and sorting parameters .
