A tire curing press with an improved loader includes a shaping or center mechanism which includes a vertically movable well on which is mounted the bottom bead or toe ring. The press includes a loader of improved design affording precision centering and accuracy which is driven for vertical movement by a ball screw and nut drive which positions the green tire concentric with the upper and lower mold sections and over the bottom bead ring. The loader then moves the green tire downwardly until the lower bead of the green tire reaches a predetermined point touching or fairly closely adjacent the elevated bead ring. Simultaneously, an adjustable pad on the loader contacts the tip of an extended rod of a vertically oriented synchronizer piston-cylinder assembly. Concurrently, a sensor is tripped to power the synchronizer piston downwardly and as such piston moves downwardly, the loader follows at a slightly higher speed causing the rotary motor of the ball screw drive to be retarded or stall, thus keeping the loader in contact with the tip of the rod of the synchronizer cylinder assembly. As the synchronizer piston is being powered down, fluid on the underside of such piston is being forced over to the top ports of a pair of bead lift cylinder assemblies causing them to bring the well and thus the lower bead ring down at the same speed as the loader is bringing the tire down. In this manner the green tire and lower bead ring are maintained in constant relationship until the bead ring is seated on the lower mold section. The point of bead ring seating provides a physical stop which in turn blocks the synchronizer piston and rod, and thus the loader from further downward travel. This synchronization is accomplished by making the blind end area of the piston of the synchronizing cylinder assembly twice the equal rod end areas of the pistons of the bead lift cylinders.

The disclosure concerns a method for GNSS-based location of a vehicle having a GNSS location device in view of integrity information provided in relation to GNSS correction data, comprising at least the following steps: (a) receiving GNSS correction data for correcting delay measurements for GNSS-based location from a GNSS correction data provision system, (b) receiving at least one piece of integrity information about the reliability of the GNSS correction data from the GNSS correction data provision system, (c) evaluating the at least one piece of integrity information about the reliability of the GNSS correction data that was received in step (b), and (d) influencing GNSS-based location of the vehicle on the basis of the evaluation from step (c).

A metallic component includes a base material ( 1 ) and a coating that is deposited on the surface of its base material ( 1 ) and protects the component from oxidation and/or corrosion. The coating includes two oxidation resistant layers ( 2,4 ). The second oxidation resistant layer ( 4 ) includes a sol-gel that forms a uniform film ( 4 ) on the surface of the first layer ( 2 ) and fills any cracks ( 3 ) that extend from the surface of the first oxidation resistant layer ( 2 ). The first oxidation resistant layer ( 2 ) in combination with the sol-gel layer ( 4 ) provides an improved high temperature oxidation resistance of the metallic component as the sol-gel ( 4 ) prevents oxidizing media from reaching the base material ( 1 ) through cracks propagating through the first coating layer ( 2 ). As an option, an additional innermost layer of MCrAlY may be applied on the surface of the base material ( 1 ).

The invention relates to an adjusting device comprising an optical regulating device (2) having a reflector (2.1) for adjusting parts of an automobile, especially distance radars, headlights or axles, by means of an irradiation device (3) that emits a bundled beam (3.4) and a vertical adjustment device (1) for aligning the reflector (2.1) at a given angle (β) relative to a floor (5) of a measuring station forming the contact plane of the automobile. Accurate vertical alignment or alignment at a given tilting angle relative to the floor of the measuring station is achieved by implementing simple measures in that the irradiation device (3) is positioned in a remote area of the automobile relative to the adjusting device (2) at a given height (h) of the automobile above the floor (5) of the measuring station and can be moved at different elevation angles relative to a parallel line of the floor of the measuring station for the emission of the beam (3.4). The and in that the vertical adjustment device (1) has a diaphragm unit (4) with a height-adjustable diaphragm (4.1) disposed between the adjusting device (2) and the irradiation device (3), the height of which can be adjusted in such a way that the beam (3.4) that is directed towards the reflector (2.1) and that passes through the diaphragm unit goes through said unit once again after being reflected on the reflector (2.1).
