A transmission device having power splitting. In the first driving range, the mechanical power branch transmits torque from the ring gear to the additional fixed gear by the fixed gear. In this case, power branches from the ring gear. The hydrostatic power branch branches from the second sun gear. The hydrostatic branch transmits power from the first to the second hydraulic unit. The first and second hydraulic units act respectively as a pump and a motor. On one of the hydrostatic shafts, the mechanical and hydrostatic powers are added and transmitted to the output. An above-bed structure having two or more feet is attached into a bed of a truck using inserts which can be removed or retracted to provide a flat, unobstructed truck bed. Each insert includes an above-bed cleat portion and a below-bed peg portion which is received in a below-bed socket. Each insert is received first vertically without substantial rotation into its socket and then by rotation to a terminal point wherein the insert is vertically held by the socket. The above bed structure is then placed onto the inserts such that the feet mate with the inserts to prevent the inserts from rotating away from their terminal point, thus preventing the inserts from being removed from their sockets. The attachment can be completed by inserting mounting pins into aligned holes on the cleat portions and the feet. In one embodiment, the feet are supported on a bed place section of the insert which is offset from the rotational axis of the insert.

In addition, the system can select a second aspect ratio for the individual video streams when the device is in a second orientation, e.g., a landscape orientation. In some configurations, the first aspect ratio can be greater than the second aspect ratio, or the aspect ratios can be selected based on a target aspect ratio, which can be adjusted over time. By dynamically selecting an aspect ratio for individual stream renderings, screen space of a device can be optimized while the device is held in various physical orientations.

A pilot operated valve having an inlet passageway (8) surrounded by an annular seat (6) surrounded by an outlet passageway (110) respectively. The main valve member (7) having turbulence shield (11) of greater diameter than the external diameter of the seat (113) and deflector plate (34). Turbulence shield (11) slows the descent of the valve during closing and prevents water hammer. Pressure chamber inlet (37 or 14) may have a check valve (15 or 21 respectively). Trigger passageway (17) is remotely operated depending on the application. For example a latching solenoid arrangement (figs. 3 to 7), float (figs. 10 and 11), handle or pressure balanced piston (fig. 15). The latching arrangement involves two solenoids with interacting armatures. As a refuelling valve trigger passageway (17) has a first pilot valve at a distal end opened upon coupling to the destination tank to vent the pilot chamber (12) and open main valve (7). A float comprises a second pilot valve which closes the trigger passageway prior to disengagement of the coupling to trigger the closing ot the main valve (6). A third manually operated pilot valve may be located on the main valve body. As a faucet valve (fgs. 12 to 14) the main valve resides under the counter and the pilot above. In one such arrangement the passageway (17) is concentric with the outlet (10), in another the pressure chamber inlet (14) and trigger (17) passageways are concentric. The pressure chamber (12) and outlet (10) may be concentric and in line (fig. 12).

Liquid oxygen from the bottom of separator 20 effects cooling in echanger 17 and is vented to atmosphere or recovered for use. Exchanger 15A is air- or water-cooled. Exchanger 11 is cooled by evaporation of liquid nitrogen tapped from pipe 3 through pipe 9, the resulting gas passing through pipe 12 to the compressor inlet. The makeup system includes a purifier 15B and a purging device 8 is located in pipe 6.

Method of estimating pulse response using an impedance spectrum

Electrochemical Impedance Spectrum (EIS) data are used directly to predict the pulse performance of an energy storage device. The impedance spectrum of the EIS is obtained in-situ using pre-existing techniques. A simulation waveform is configured such that the period of the pulse is greater than or equal to the lowest frequency of the impedance measurement. If the pulse is assumed to be periodic for analysis purposes, the complex Fourier series coefficients can be obtained. The number of harmonic constituents are selected so as to appropriately resolve the response, but the maximum frequency should be less than or equal to the highest frequency of the impedance measurement. In some cases, the measured frequencies of the impedance spectrum do not match the corresponding harmonic components of the simulated pulse wave. This is resolved by estimating the impedance measurements at the desired frequencies using linear interpolation, cubic spline fits, or other comparable methods. Using a current pulse as an example, the Fourier coefficients of the pulse are multiplied by the impedance spectrum at the corresponding frequency to obtain the Fourier coefficients of the voltage response to the desired pulse. The Fourier coefficients of the response are then summed reassemble to obtain the overall time domain estimate of the voltage using the Fourier series analysis. Thus, the response of an energy storage device to an anticipated or desired pulse can be estimated using low-level, charge neutral impedance measurements combined with Fourier series analysis.
