Modular pump rotor assemblies having a rotatable driving element and a rotor that is removably connected to the driving element by at least one removable fastener are disclosed. The assemblies also have a rotor support bearing that is disposed between the rotatable driving element and the rotor. The assemblies may have a rotatable driving element that is of a type that is dynamically sealed to a pump housing, or a rotatable driving element that is of a type that is statically sealed to a pump housing, such as for use in a magnetically coupled pump or a canned-motor device. 1. A modular pump rotor assembly comprising a rotatable driving element and a rotor , wherein the rotor is removably connected to the rotatable driving element by at least one removable fastener.2. The modular pump rotor assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a rotor support bearing claim 1 , wherein the rotor support bearing is disposed between the rotatable driving element and the rotor.3. The modular pump rotor assembly of claim 1 , wherein the rotatable driving element further comprises a rotatable shaft.4. The modular pump rotor assembly of claim 3 , further comprising a clamp plate disposed between and removably connected to the rotatable shaft and the rotor.5. The modular pump rotor assembly of claim 4 , wherein modular pump rotor assembly further comprises a rotor support bearing claim 4 , and wherein the rotor support bearing is disposed between the rotatable shaft and the clamp plate.6. The modular pump rotor assembly of claim 1 , wherein the rotatable driving element further comprises a rotatable inner magnet assembly.7. Positive-displacement auxiliary pumping systems for use in pump apparatus of different configurations are disclosed. The positive-displacement auxiliary pumping systems are included in positive-displacement rotary pumps having a casing defining a pumping cavity, an inlet port connected to the pumping cavity, a discharge port connected to the pumping cavity, and a positive-displacement auxiliary pumping port connected to the pumping cavity. Pumping elements move within the pumping cavity of the casing and define a collapsing pocket that maintains fluid communication with the positive-displacement auxiliary pumping port after the collapsing pocket is no longer in fluid communication with the discharge port. 1. A positive-displacement rotary pump comprising:a casing defining a pumping cavity;an inlet port connected to the pumping cavity;a discharge port connected to the pumping cavity;a positive-displacement auxiliary pumping port connected to the pumping cavity, andpumping elements that move within the pumping cavity of the casing and define a collapsing pocket that maintains fluid communication with the positive-displacement auxiliary pumping port after the collapsing pocket is no longer in fluid communication with the discharge port.2. A positive-displacement rotary pump in accordance with claim 1 , wherein the pumping elements further comprise a rotatable rotor having a plurality of movable vanes.3.
