An electrolytic filtration method and apparatus for the concentration and collection of suspended particulates from aqueous solutions is disclosed. The electrolytic cell contains at least an anode and a cathode, and in one embodiment contains a plurality of anodes and cathodes. The position of the cutting tool with respect to the working surface is controlled by a mechanism which elevates the cutting tool with respect to the working surface and angulates the cutting tool with respect to the working surface. The cutting tool is mounted to a support plate which is pivotably attached to the work table. The elevating mechanism includes a threaded rod and a nut which engages a pivoting link. The pivoting link also engages the cutting tool. Rotation of the threaded rod pivots the link which in turn raises and lowers the cutting tool. A spring biases the cutting tool towards its lower position to remove play between the components. The angulating mechanism includes a lever, two cams and a locking rod. Rotation of the lever moves the locking rod longitudinally due to the action between the two cams. The longitudinal movement of the rod compresses the support plate between the work table and a bracket to maintain the position of the support plate with respect to the work table. Also included is an integral arbor wrench which is accessible when the throat plate is removed to lock the arbor to facilitate tool changing. The wrench is designed to not allow reassembling of the throat plate when the wrench is in engagement with the arbor shaft.

The mix is then homogenized pelletized, decar-bonized at a temperature of from 800° to 1000° and roasted at a temperature of from 1200° to 1350°C. Dust sublimates which are wastes of the titanium production, are added at the stage of grinding or homogenization in an amount of 0.5 to 6.0% by total weight of raw mix, and or addition of the dust sublimate at the homogenization stage, an aqueous suspension of cakes which are wastes of the titanium and magnesium production and comprise a paste-like mass with a moisture content of 60 to 80% is added at the pelletizing stage, at a volumetric ratio of water to cakes of 3-6:1, and in an amount of 10 to 14% by total weight of raw mix. The process according to the invention enables the preparation of clinker exhibiting an improved strength. With the process according to the invention, the degree of decarbonization of raw mix is as high as 35-50%, and roasting temperature is 120°-150°C lower.

A method for positioning and rotating a workpiece shaped like a body of rotation and having a plane face, comprising the following steps: positioning the workpiece on an axial and a radial supports; transmitting the torque from a rotary driving member to the workpiece due to the forces of friction developed therebetween; and feeding ultrasonic mechanical vibrations to at least one of the supports, said vibrations being fed to any one of the supports in the direction substantially parallel to or at an angle not exceeding 10 degrees with the line of contact between the workpiece and said support. An arrangement implementing this method comprises separate axial and radial supports, the radial support being constituted by two parts spaced apart through a certain angle and having the profile, in the working portion, congruent to the cylindrical profile of the workpiece surface. The arrangement is further provided with a frictional rotary driving member contacting with the workpiece to be machined, and with an electromechanical magnetostriction converter operating within the ultrasonic range and having a waveguide rigidly connected to both converter and support, mechanical vibrations being fed thereto.

The choke coil comprises a bead of a soft-magnetic material in which a number of ducts extend in parallel. An electrically conductive wire comprising fee ends is accommodated in the ducts. The choke coil comprises means for shielding a portion of the turn which extends outside the ducts. To this end, for example an electrically insulating housing is arranged around the bead. The housing consists of two approximately cylindrical portions, each of which comprises a substantially closed end face which is situated on a first end portion. The cylindrical portions are axially slid over the bead with their second open end portion fitting one into the other. In each end face there is provided at least one opening for feeding out the wire. A machine tool has a work table which defines a working surface and has a cutting tool which is attached to and movable with respect to the work table. The position of the cutting tool with respect to the working surface is controlled by a mechanism which elevates the cutting tool with respect to the working surface and angulates the cutting tool with respect to the working surface. The cutting tool is mounted to a support plate which is pivotably attached to the work table. The elevating mechanism includes a threaded rod and a nut which engages a pivoting link. The pivoting link also engages the cutting tool. Rotation of the threaded rod pivots the link which in turn raises and lowers the cutting tool. A spring biases the cutting tool towards its lower position to remove play between the components. The angulating mechanism includes a lever, two cams and a locking rod. Rotation of the lever moves the locking rod longitudinally due to the action between the two cams. The longitudinal movement of the rod compresses the support plate between the work table and a bracket to maintain the position of the support plate with respect to the work table. Also included is an integral arbor wrench which is accessible when the throat plate is removed to lock the arbor to facilitate tool changing. The wrench is designed to not allow reassembling of the throat plate when the wrench is in engagement with the arbor shaft.

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE METHOD FOR DESALTING CRUDE OIL The salt content of a heavy crude oil is reduced by a method which comprises the steps of (a) mixing 70 to 98% by volume of a heavy crude oil having a viscosity in the range 200 to 250,000 mPa.s at the mixing temperature with 30 to 2% by volume of an aqueous solution of an emulsifying surfactant or an alkali, percentages being expressed as percentages by volume of the total mixture; mixing being effected under low shear conditions in the range 10 to 1,000 reciprocal seconds, in such manner that an HIPR emulsion is formed comprising distorted oil droplets having mean droplet diameters in the range 2 to 50 micron separated by aqueous films, (b) breaking the resulting emulsion, and (c) separating the resulting mixture into a layer of relatively salt-free oil and a layer of relatively salt-enhanced water. Heavy crude oils are desalted by the above method without requiring a hydrocarbon diluent. The high surface area of the aqueous lamellae in the HIPR emulsion increases the probability of contacts occurring between them and the droplets of salt water originally present in the crude oil, and thus leads to greater desalting efficiency.

Este procedimiento de preparación se caracteriza, porque el bromuro de tiotropio se recoge en agua, la mezcla obtenida se calienta y, a continuación, bajo lento enfriamiento, cristalizan los hidratos de bromuro de tiotropio. Mimotope receptors and inhibitors employ peptide mimics that mimic the shape and function of natural receptors and ligands, thus providing synthetic binding sites for ligands and receptors. Receptor mimics can be attached to carriers, such as liposomes, to act as synthetic platelets, for example, by providing binding sites for binding to other (natural or synthetic) platelets or to the endothelium. Synthetic platelets would have virtually limitless shelf life and would not require disease screening prior to transfusion, thereby providing a solution to the perpetual platelet shortages, as well as the safety and storage issues associated with natural blood platelets. Mimotope inhibitors (either free- molecule receptors or ligands) can act as antithrombotics by inhibiting platelet-platelet or platelet-endothelium interactions. Ligand mimics are preferably D-peptides that resist proteolytic degradation. Furthermore, these ligand mimics can also be attached to carriers for resisting excretion, thus forming the new class of antithrombotic drugs.

Durch eine Modulüberwachung wird ein jeweilig fehlerhafter Energiespeicher an die Zentralsteuerung gemeldet.
