Improved method for producing substituted pyridine-carboxylic acids

The invention relates to a method for producing substituted pyridine-carboxylic acids by ozonolysis of quinolines of the formula (I) which in position 2 and/or 3 and/or 4 are substituted by R3 and in position 6 and/or 7 by R4, whereby R1 and R2 are H or a C1-C3-alkyl group, R3 and R4 are a group which is inert under the reaction conditions and at least one of the rests R1 and R2 is not H. According to said method the quinolines are reacted in an aqueous acid solution at temperatures of between -5 and +40 °C with ozone, and the solution obtained in this way is maintained for between 0.5 and 15 hours at a temperature of between 0 and 100 °C with the addition of oxygen or air so as to break down the resulting peroxides. Thereafter the corresponding substituted pyridine-carboxylic acid of the formula (II), in which R3 has the meaning given above and R5 and R6 are OH or a C1-C3-alkyl, whereby at least one of the rests R5 and R6 are not OH, is isolated from the reaction mixture.

Process for the preparation of alkylated N- or amino, ammonium or spirobicyclic ammonium group-containing, crosslinked polymer gels, which is characterized in that a) in the crosslinkage step an aqueous solution of a polymer obtained by polymerization of the corresponding monomer is adjusted to a pH of 7.5-14 at a temperature of 0 to 90° C., then the appropriate crosslinking agent is metered in and precrosslinkage is carried out with stirring and the precrosslinked polymer is transferred for complete curing to a curing container, whereupon b) the cured crude gel is cut into a defined shape, then c) washed with methanol batchwise in a static or stirred bed and directly following this d) in methanol, the alkylation is carried out, after which the alkylated gel e) is first washed batchwise by means of methanol/NaCl washes in a static or stirred bed or continuously, then f) batchwise by means of NaCl washes and final water washes with deionized water in a static or stirred bed or continuously and also a process for the preparation of the alkylators used in sted d).

Procedimiento para la preparación de unos geles de polímeros que contienen grupos N o respectivamente amino, amonio o amonio espirobicíclico, reticulados y alquilados, caracterizado porque un gel en bruto, que se ha obtenido mediante una polimerización y una reticulación, acabado de gelificar y cortado a) se lava con metanol en un recipiente con sistema de agitación o en un filtro de succión con dispositivo agitador, realizándose la aportación del disolvente desde el fondo del recipiente con sistema de agitación o del filtro de succión con dispositivo agitador, o por la cabeza en el recipiente con sistema de agitación o en el filtro de succión con dispositivo agitador, y la filtración con succión del medio de lavado consumido se efectúa a través de un tubo de inmersión y b) el gel en bruto lavado de esta manera, se alquila a continuación de esto con un agente de alquilación, después de lo cual c) se lleva a cabo un lavado con una mezcla de metanol y cloruro de sodio en un columna de lavado que se hace funcionar de manera continua, o en una torre de lavado o en un recipiente con sistema de agitación, presentándose la torta del gel después de la filtración de la suspensión del gel como un lecho estático o agitado, y efectuándose la aportación de la solución de metanol y cloruro de sodio desde el fondo, y efectuándose la filtración con succión del líquido de lavado sobrenadante a través de un tubo de inmersión, y a continuación d) se llevan a cabo un lavado con cloruro de sodio y un lavado con agua mediante rociadura del lecho del gel con una solución de lavado o mediante un lavado en suspensión en un filtro de succión con dispositivo agitador o en un recipiente con sistema de agitación o en una columna de lavado que se hace funcionar continuamente.
