A seabed plow capable of over-the-stern release and retrieval is usable in any of boulder clearing, trench cutting and backfill modes. In its boulder clearing mode, the plow uses its skid in torquing configuration followed by moldboards to push boulders out of the path to be trenched. In the trench cutting mode, the plow uses the skid in the same configuration with its share and moldboards for initial trench depth and the same share and moldboards with moldboard extensions for increasing trench depth in subsequent passes. In the backfill mode, the plow uses its skid in trench-straddling configuration following a blade with a passage designed to discharge fragmented spoil directly onto the pipe being covered. The control system is configured to determine when the ripping member is engaged with hard material using the pressure sensor. When the ripping member is engaged with hard material, the control system is configured to permit operation of the vibrator mechanism. In some embodiments, the control system may further be configured to automatically start the vibrator mechanism when it detects that the ripping member is engaged with hard material. When the ripping member is not engaged with hard material, the control system is configured to deactivate the vibrator mechanism. In some embodiments, deactivation of the vibrator mechanism means that the control system turns off the vibrator mechanism. In some other embodiments, deactivation of the vibrator mechanism means that the control system prevents operation of the vibrator mechanism. In yet other embodiments deactivation of the vibrator mechanism may entail both turning off the vibrator mechanism and preventing operation of the vibrator mechanism. In yet other embodiments, the control system may include a switch that permits a vehicle operator to select which of these aforementioned actions the control system takes when determining that the ripping member is not engaged with hard material. 1. A knife for creating berms in agricultural fields for strip-till farming is improved by adding wings on opposing sides of the knife edge that are configured to fracture and raise soil in a wider path for building a berm behind the knife. The wings can be swept back, angled downward from front to back, and angled downward from inside to outside, for better loosening compacted soil below the surface and creating improved berms rearward of the knife. A flow-through brush cutter is mounted on a tracked vechicle and includes a thin, flat blade having a replaceable V-shaped forward cutting edge and adapted for movement along a horizontal plane disposed beneath the surface of the earth. A pair of thin legs extend upwardly from spaced points on the blade and are connected to the track assemblies of the vehicle by a pair of forwardly extending arms. The horizontal positioning of the blade is controlled by a fluid-powered cylinder mounted on a subframe secured to the frame of the vehicle and a cable system actuated by the fluid-powered cylinder and connected to the arms. Lateral displacement of the blade is controlled by guide members extending on opposite sides of the arms and secured to the track assemblies of the vehicle and to the subframe. The guide members are secured to the subframe by means of pin and slot connections which accommodate relative movement between the frame and the track assemblies of the vehicle.

The ridge drill comprises ridge formers 4 fixed to the frame 1, sowing units 2, packing wheels 3. The ridge formers 4 contain a rack 5, an A-hoe blade, a moldboard and a bracket. The bracket is mounted on the rack 5. On the bracket an adjusting disc with an axis is rigidly fixed. Under the adjusting disc an additional disc is mounted with the ability of rotation about its axis. The adjustment and the additional discs have holes located on the periphery at the same distance from their center. Under the additional disc a guide bracket is rigidly attached, having a semi-axis and a moldboard 15. The moldboard 15 is made flat and is mounted on the semi-axis with the ability to change its position on height along the rack with respect to the cutting edges of the A-hoe blade and the impinging angle in the horizontal plane, as well as fixing in the desired position. The moldboards 15 of each pair of the ridge formers 4 are mounted symmetrically with respect to the line of the seeds sown at an angle which aperture is directed towards the ridge drill movement. The packing wheels 3 comprise a frame, spherical discs 25, packing rings 29, an axis 28, a bar 30 with a spring 31, and located behind the ridge formers 4. Tool for cultivating and forming ridges consists of a milling cutter with blades driven by a gasoline or an electric drive. Milling cutter is located on a shaft, the axis of rotation of which is at the angle of 60-70° to the direction of the ridge. Blades of the milling cutter form a helical surface for loosening and moving the soil, made in the form of split blades on the initial turns of the milling cutter, and a solid helical surface on the final turns of the milling cutter.
