To create flowing water, a water screw device may be utilized within the watering device to move water from a lower bowl of the device to an upper bowl. The dual food and water dispenser includes a vertical chute and a vertical hose. An aerator assembly for an animal watering device having a rotor mount removably inserted in a discharge opening of a cover of the device and a rotor carried by the mount that is rotated by discharged water. The mount includes a conduit having one end inserted in the cover and an outlet at its opposite end conveying a discharged stream of water against rotor baffles causing rotation. The mount includes an arm that offsets an axis of rotation of the rotor relative to the stream so water impinges against a baffle. A pin can be included that engages the arm that is received through a rotor hub rotatively attaching the rotor to the arm. Such an aerator not only aerates water discharged during fountain operation, it also reduces noise by reducing splashing. A method of promoting efficient water drinking by animals uses any one of a number of container embodiments. A first embodiment of container contemplates five sub-chambers separated from one another by parallel partitions, with each partition having a small weep hole near its bottom to equalize water level in each sub-chamber. Each sub-chamber has an elongated length dimension and a width that is relatively narrow and designed to approximate the width of an animal's tongue. When an animal is drinking water from one of the sub-chambers of this embodiment, as the tongue is lapping, the sides of the tongue are close to the inner walls of the sub-chamber, thereby precluding some of the water resting on the tongue from falling off the tongue as the water is lifted into the animal's mouth. In this way, the efficiency of drinking using the lapping technique is enhanced. In a further embodiment, a second sub-chamber provides a reservoir for replenishing the first sub-chamber as it drains down through a small weep hole near the bottom of a common wall between the sub-chambers. A leash training device embodying a non-invasive and non-threatening method of using the same to train a dog is provided. The leash training device may include a liquid sprayer having a housing forming a handle portion and a leash assembly. A method of training a domesticated animal restrained by a leash by using the leash training device of claim 3 , comprising the steps of:filling the reservoir with a liquid;connecting the leash to the leash hook; andtriggering the liquid sprayer to urge a jet of liquid from the reservoir, through the spray outlet, and toward the domesticated animal engaged in correctible behavior.5. The harness is attachable to a canine so that the harness is positioned around a chest of the canine. The pack is selectively engageable to a top of the harness so that the pack is substantially centered on a back of the canine. An item can be positioned in the pack therein so that the canine is positioned to transport the item. 1. A canine harness pack assembly comprising:a harness configured to be attachable to a canine, such that the harness is positioned around a chest of the canine; anda pack selectively engageable to a top of the harness, such that the pack is substantially centered on a back of the canine, wherein the pack is configured for positioning of an item, such that the canine is positioned for transporting the item.2. The canine harness pack assembly of claim 1 , wherein the harness comprises:an upper section;a lower section; anda set of straps, two straps of the set of straps each being engaged to and extending between a respective corner of the upper section and the lower section, the other two of the straps each being engaged to and extending from a respective corner of the upper section and having a first connector engaged thereto distal from the upper section, such that the first connector is positioned for selectively engaging an associated second connector engaged to the lower section for removably engaging the upper section to the lower section, such that the harness is engaged to the canine.3. Drip cups used in animal drinkers for beaked animals feature a cup body made of plastic material for accommodating a supply of water. The cup body has a bottom surrounded by an edging. Experience has shown that beaked animals cause damage to the plastics material of cup body with their beaks. Such damage by pecking can even cause the bottom, and thus the drip cup itself, to leak water. The invention proposes to position a graduated metal insert centered in the inside bottom of the cup body. The insert thereby reinforces the bottom of the cup body such that beaked animals are no longer capable of damaging the drip cup. 1.
