Each subsystem, and the connections between subsystems, are sealed such that the food product being processed is isolated from the general environment. Product is dried by the dryer in such a way that it emerges from the dryer at a desired moisture content level and at ambient temperature. A moisture sensor may provide control data to a controller that in turn controls product throughput to obtain a desired moisture content level. High nutritional content and long lifespan of the processed product can be maintained, while reducing the weight of the final product. One or more of the subsystems may be portable and configured for convenient connection and disconnection to mating subsystems, and to facilitate permitting for portable operation.

The horizontal feed mixer-steamer includes a cylindrical vessel mounted on a frame and equipped with loading and unloading branch pipes, a blade drive shaft and a screw conveyor drive shaft, mounted on supports in the bearing assemblies. The direction of coils of the screw conveyors is made towards each other towards the centre. Two concave-convex blades thickened at the base are mounted on the blade drive shaft inside the vessel. The second blade is installed on the other side of the shaft relative to the first blade and is directed by the peripheral end thereof in the opposite direction. The width of the blades equals half the length of the vessel, wherein the blade drive shaft is made in form of a perforated pipe communicating with the steam supply pipeline. The blades have channels whereby steam is supplied to the conical outlet nozzles located on the convex part of the blades. Способ производства различных видов комбикормов
