A system for applying hair extensions to natural hair growing on the scalp of an individual comprises flared cylindrical tubes (40), a threading hook and a crimping tool. The hair extension is then inserted into the flared end or the tube and the tube is crushed flat trapping the threaded scalp hair and hair extension within the crushed structure. In one configuration of the present invention, a hair extension device for providing a user with the appearance of having longer, fuller hair is disclosed. The device may have a hair cluster having a hair flap which in turn comprises one or more hair wefts. The hair wefts may contain a number of hair strands connected together by seams which composes the band. The device may contain a filament which may be sandwiched between one or more flaps. The hair wefts may be sewn together with thread using a zig-zag stitch for example. The hair extension device may be reversible and the wefts may be attached to a length of lace.

Methods and devices for attaching hair weaves to a wearer's existing hair are described. A hair extension/weave portion (e.g., a system comprised of a plurality of natural and/or synthetic hair strands) may be attached to an attachment strip member via a base member with a suture, such as a thread or stitch. The attachment strip member may be formed of a flexible material, such that it can conform to the contours of the wearer's head/scalp. Holes may be provided on the attachment strip member so to allow the attachment of one or more clip members thereto. The invention can be used by persons that use tape-in style hair extensions. The invention includes a flat panel with several horizontal entry points aligned in rows. Both sides of the panel are utilized. A tape-in style hair extension is fed into the panel through a horizontal entry point from one side and comes through on the other side. The hair is then fastened by the clip/fastener on the opposite side just above the horizontal entry point. Vertically, each set of horizontal entry points, coupled with a clip/fastener on the opposite side, is also spaced apart leaving room for the user to have workspace for each individual hair extension. The present invention provides method of attaching a hair extension to a subject, the hair extension including a plurality of hairs attached to a base with an aperture through the base, the method including: i) selecting a first bundle of the subject's hair; ii) passing the first bundle of the subject's hair through the aperture; iii) selecting a second bundle of the subject's hair; and iv) clamping the first bundle of subject's hair to the second bundle of subject's hair with a clamp; wherein the clamped first and second bundles form a closed loop which retains the hair extension in place. The present invention also provides a hair extension for use in the method. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first bundle only passes through the base once.3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the base is concealed on at least one side by the plurality of hairs attached to the base and the first bundle is passed through the aperture from the concealed side of the base.4. A hair extension includes a section of hair and a substrate. Hair strands of the section of hair are affixed together at a first end by a solidified liquid polymer such that ends of the hair strands are retained within the polymer across a width of the section of hair. The substrate is attached to the polymer on one side (e.g., a rear side) of the section of hair across at least part of a width of the hair section. According to one exemplary embodiment, the substrate is also a solidified polymer. The width of the substrate, as measured along a length of the extension's section of hair, is substantially greater than a width of the polymer, as similarly measured. The wider substrate facilitates reliable attachment of the extension to the user's hair, while the narrower polymer enables the installed extension to remain virtually undetectable. 1. A weave may be created by attaching multiple, unwefted hair extensions to a series of braided rows of a person's natural hair using the strands of unwefted hair extensions to secure such hair extensions, by looping and knotting the hair extensions, to the braided rows of the person's natural hair. The method advantageously secures the hair extensions to the person's natural hair without using harmful chemicals or damaging the person's hair or scalp and such that the hair extensions may appear to be the person's natural hair. A hair band with a lateral and longitudinal stretchable foundation carries a plurality of no-looped-hair hairband strips in a brick layered pattern thereby permitting the hairband strips to move, up, down and laterally with the expandable foundation. The foundation, with an elastically attached filament, encircles the user's head. The strips have hairs disposed in parallel on a tape substrate and adhered thereto by a matrix of hygroscopic sealant, glass silk and polyurethane atop to adhere the hairs to the tape substrate. The parallel mounted hairs avoid cuticular scale interference between adjacent hairs which fall beyond the head of the user wearing the hair band.
