A lightweight, low bulk, mobile CB shelter fabric includes a high tensile strength woven scrim laminated between two thin CB-impenetrable polymer films. Laminate adhesives can include isocyanate adhesion promotors. Coatings can be applied to the films for camouflage, increased light opacity, increased CB protection, sun, fire, and weather resistance. Lamination heat and pressure can cause the films to conform and bond through the scrim, while a pre-applied coating does not flow and remains uniform in thickness. The resulting fabric weight can be approximately 50% of conventional CB fabrics. The films can be hard-drawn polymers. A coating of hammer milled kaolin clay can provide increased light opacity. The structure of a flip-flop which includes a sole having a top section, a bottom section, a forefoot section, a heel section, and a sidewall section. Also, a forefoot cover having V-shaped straps is positioned and extends over at least a part of the forefoot section and is attached to the top section of the sole. A horizontal recess is formed in the heel section of the sole for receiving therein a horizontal strap, which is removably placed in the horizontal recess. The horizontal strap is moveable by the user between a first stored position in the recess, and a second in-use raised position, wherein the horizontal strap extends above the horizontal recess and covers the bridge of the user's foot in order to convert the flip-flop to a sandal for securing the foot more securely.

A personal protective device (PPE) comprising a face cover assembly and a bodysuit configured to be worn by a human user. The device protects users against airborne aerosol particles containing viruses or other infectious agents while enabling improved flexibility relative to prior art designs. The device includes a helmet-like” rotating face cover assembly that fits over the user's head and attaches to a collar on the biohazard bodysuit. The sealing device comprises an annular sealing surface for circumferentially and sealingly connecting the annular layer to the annular base, and the annular sealing body is adapted to be locked into the recess to circumferentially and sealingly connect the wearable layer between the annular base and the annular sealing body. Chemical protective poncho system

A chemical protective poncho system for encapsulating a patient is presented. The system has a body extending a length between a top end and a bottom end and having a hood attached near the top end and having a liner attached near the bottom end. The system includes a layer of adsorbent impregnated media capable of filtering chemical agents while allowing oxygen and carbon dioxide to pass through the material. The chemical protective poncho is specially adapted to fit over the top of a patient and chemically seal the lower portion of the patient while allowing the patient ambulatory freedom. The system also includes ports for intravenous access as well as a port for respiratory access. The system may also include a powered air purifying respirator which positively pressurizes the interior space of the system.
