A single piece valve beam formed of a deflectable material has the actuator button located on one end and a fulcrum located on another end opposite the actuator button. An inner region of the cover has a retention surface opposite the button accommodating the fulcrum. The single piece valve beam is held inside the inner region of the cover between the button opening and the retention surface by deflection of the beam and rotation about the fulcrum such that the sealing surface moves away from the dispensing orifice when the actuator button is pressed. The deflectable material of the single piece valve beam acts as a spring that exerts force on the sealing surface and exerts force on the actuator against the button opening. The single piece valve beam can be configured to move away from the dispensing orifice when the button is pressed. An integral arm can be alternately cantilevered off of the single piece valve beam so the arm rotates in a same direction as the single piece valve beam rotates at the fulcrum. The arm can be alternatively cantilevered from a stem location so the arm rotates in a direction opposite a direction to which the single piece valve beam rotates at the fulcrum.

A system for managing the fluid intake of a person is disclosed. The system consists of multiple containers of various volumes, a common lid configured to incorporate a flow control valve, multiple flow control valves having varying flow rates, a date indicator ring incorporated circumferentially on said containers, a content indicator disposed on said lid, a chiller insert, and an optional slip on handle. The user selects a container based on the fluid needs of a person and a flow control valve based on the drinking ability of the person. The user fills the container with a drinkable fluid, and indicates the nature of the contents with the content indicator and the date of filling with the date indicator ring. The chiller insert allows the user to cool the contents without the possibility of dilution as with standard ice cubes.

Flavor Infusion Container

A reusable water container that infuses a fruit or herb flavor into a liquid inside the container. The container is segregated into a top liquid chamber, and a bottom flavor infusion chamber. The two chambers join at a watertight seal. A perforated divider positions between the two chambers, acting to retain the fruit in the infusion chamber when liquid is being poured out of the opening in the top of the container. The fruit or herb in the infusion chamber infuses a respective flavor by passing through the perforated divider, and infusing throughout the liquid in the entire container. A base detaches from the bottom of the infusion chamber so that the fruit or herb can be placed inside the infusion chamber. The base and the fruit may be frozen prior to attaching to the infusion chamber to cool the liquid.

Furthermore, the lid is sealingly engaged with the container and includes an outlet configured to output the contents of the container. Moreover, the elbow straw is rotatably coupled to the lid and configured to sit and rotate within the container when the lid is coupled to the container. Additionally, the straw is weighted and thus, no matter what direction a child tips the infant cup, the tip of the straw will always rotate to be in contact with the fluid within the container. A lid of a beverage container includes a base portion, a spout framework extending from the base portion, a valve positioned at the end of the spout framework, and a soft spout overmold that leaves the valve exposed. The soft spout overmold is sealingly engaged with the base portion and spout framework to prevent leaking of the contents of a beverage container which may be coupled to the lid. The valve is in fluid communication with the contents of a beverage container which may be coupled to the lid. The valve may contain a slit and when deformed, the slit transforms into an opening to allow contents of an attached beverage container to flow out of the beverage container.

PROTECTIVE SPOUT COVER WITH FOOD REGULATING VALVE

Provided herein are protective spout covers adapted to couple to the universal dispensing spout of a food pouch, such as a baby food pouch. The disclosed protective spout covers may be formed from a flexible elastomer and may be configured to grip the spout securely via one or more gripping lips adapted to engage a corresponding groove on the universal spout. When so coupled, the protective spout cover may cushion the spout to protect the user's mouth and lips from injury. The protective spout cover also may include a food regulating valve that may be configured to control the flow of food from the pouch, for instance, to prevent accidental spills. Some embodiments also may include a cap member to keep the protective spout cover clean when not in use and a gripping ring to facilitate use of the cap. A beverage cooling device for the rapid cooling of the content of canned or bottle beverages is provided. The beverage cooling device is a handheld device that easily engages the top of a can or beverage. The beverage cooling device includes a housing with side walls for mounting a motor. A container engagement member is attached to the motor along the bottom side of the housing such that it is able to freely rotate within the side walls of the housing. The container engagement member is attached to the drive shaft of the motor such that it is able to rotate when the motor is actuated. The container engagement member includes, at its center, a central gripping member for gripping the top of containers with long narrow necks. The container engagement member further includes peripheral gripping members for engaging containers having tops of larger circumferences, such aluminum beverage containers of varying sizes. The motor is actuated by an on/off switch. The motor rotates the container engagement member when actuated thus enabling the rotation of bottles or containers when engaged by the container engagement member of the beverage cooling device. Rapid rotation of the beverage container in contact with a chilling substance such as ice or ice water results in a very rapid chilling of the contents of the beverage container.
