A device for dispensing towels comprises a container, a sepearet area and a chamber. The container, such a bottle contains liquid, such a hand sanitizer. Then a separate area provides for housing a plurality of dry compressed towels, in the form of tablets. The chamber receives the dry compressed towels and the liquid. A trigger mechanism provides for selectively introducing at least one dry compressed towel and liquid into the chamber. Actuation of the trigger mechanism causes the dry compressed towel to enter the chamber and to be exposed to the liquid so as to be moistened or wetted, thereby being decompressed or expanding. Within the dispenser a dispensing mechanism is in communication with a sensor system which scans for the presence of a user at a first pulse rate and initiates a dispense cycle upon sensing a user. The sensor system is in electrical communication with a control circuit which determines the time that has elapsed from the last dispense cycle and compare the elapsed time with a preset value. If the elapsed time is greater than the preset value, the control circuit configures the sensor system to scan for the presence of a user at a second pulse rate. Upon detecting a user, the control circuit initiates a dispense cycle and sets the sensor system to scan for the presence of a user at the first pulse rate.

A hands-free paper towel dispenser , comprising:(a) a cabinet defining an interior space sufficient to house a main paper towel roll, the cabinet including a housing and a cover that is pivotally attached to the housing, at least a portion of the cover defining a forward facing portion of the cabinet;(b) a sensing mechanism mounted to the housing in a direction facing the cover and disposed entirely within the interior space of the cabinet at a location adjacent to the cover, the sensing mechanism configured to detect through the cover an object positioned outside of the cabinet and adjacent the cover without the object contacting the cover, and at least a portion of the sensing mechanism is accessible when the cover is at the open position;(c) a dispensing mechanism disposed within the housing for dispensing a length of towel, the dispensing mechanism including a drive roller and a motor in driving engagement with the drive roller;(d) control circuitry that controls operation of the sensing mechanism and the motor, controls the length of towel that is dispensed, and provides a delay between cycles of towel dispensing; and(e) an electric power source for powering operation of the dispenser.2. A dispenser for dispensing sheet material from a roll , comprising:a feed roller configured to rotate and thereby dispense sheet material from the roll;a press bar assembly having a first orientation and being configured to pivot about a pivot axis extending through the press bar assembly, the press bar assembly comprising a rack configured to cause the feed roller to be rotated when the press bar assembly pivots about the pivot axis; anda handle oriented in the first orientation, the handle being in engagement with the press bar assembly and configured to be pushed by a user generally into a housing of the dispenser, such that the press bar assembly pivots about the pivot axis,wherein a first end portion of the handle is in proximity to the pivot axis and a second end portion of the handle is in proximity to the rack.2. Embodiments of a roll support, and a roll support system, for a sheet product dispenser are disclosed. One such roll support includes an arm having an end portion and an aperture proximate the end portion of the arm and recessed therein. The aperture includes a capture region and a release region. A product dispenser includes a product housing including a drive system and a dispensing apparatus. The drive system includes a motive power device and a controller and is configured to receive energy from an energy supply. The dispensing apparatus is configured to dispense the product. During a condition when the product is being dispensed, the dispensing apparatus is subject to a dispensing resistance and the drive system provides an output to the dispensing apparatus to overcome the dispensing resistance, the output being characterized by a dispensing parameter. A towel moistening assembly includes a first container for containing a plurality of towels. A second container is provided for containing a fluid bodily treatment. The second container has an entry way that is aligned with the first container to facilitate the towels to be drawn upwardly therethrough. A lid is removably attachable to the second container for closing the second container. The lid has an exit extending therethrough and the towels can be drawn outwardly therethrough when the towels are drawn outwardly through the entry way in the second container. In this way the towel can be moistened with the fluid bodily treatment to be employed by a user.
