Лечение остеомиелита крупного сустава методом двухэтапного эндопротезирования

Prostheses with artificial joints have only a few metallic and ceramic materials whose compatibility with human or animal tissue has been established. These materials, however, cannot be combined with one another in any manner if a friction pairing occurs as a result, for example, in the case of artificial joints. With artificial joints, joint partners are required to have good mechanical properties as well as tribological properties. According to the invention, a sintered material is thus provided which is comprised of zircon oxide with an addition of 0.1 to 40 wt. % aluminum oxide. This sintered material enables an artificial joint of a prosthesis whose other ceramic materials are comprised of aluminum oxide or zircon oxide with the given proportions of aluminum oxide to be assembled with joint partners.

For example, a prosthetic femoral neck implant can include a thread and a Morse taper for lockable attachment to a prosthetic femoral head and/or intramedullary stem. 1. A modular prosthetic hip system for hip arthroplasty , comprising:a prosthetic femoral neck implant component comprising a head engaging end, the head engaging end comprising a tapered cone surface and a neck thread; anda prosthetic femoral head implant component attachable to the head engaging end of the prosthetic femoral neck implant component, the prosthetic femoral head implant comprising a tapered bore surface configured to engage the tapered cone surface, and a neck bore comprising a head thread configured to engage the neck thread.2. The prosthetic hip system of claim 1 , wherein the head engaging end of the femoral neck implant component comprises a distal neck portion for engaging the neck bore claim 1 , the tapered bore surface comprising a Morse taper.3. The present disclosure is concerned with packaging which can accommodate a series of femoral stem components for prosthetic hip joints which have a dimension which varies minimally across the series but which vary considerably in overall size. The packaging is designed to minimize the travel of any member of the series packaged therein such that all the packaged components in the series can pass the standard handling and shipping tests typically used by the manufacturers of medical implants. The packaging comprises two thermoformed tray components which each carry three types of cavities which are interconnected. The tray components are designed to be assembled with their cavities facing each other. The cavities are designed to contain the lower stem, body and angled shaft of the stem component, respectively. The cavities for the lower stem and the body cooperate to capture the minimally varying dimension of the series.

The use of lipids in the taper junction or other metal on metal interface of a modular orthopedic implant to prevent fretting corrosion and increase the pull off load. The incorporation of lipids or a lipid-like substrate within the taper junction increases the onset load and decreases the amount of corrosion. The incorporation of lipids also increases the pull-off load necessary to separate the head from the neck. As a result, the use of lipids in the taper junction of an orthopedic implant should reduce the need for revisions of implants, such as such as knee and hip replacements, which are often needed because of fretting corrosion. 1. A surface protection system comprising a protective sleeve positionable over an orthopedic tool or implant, for example the tapered end of an orthopedioc femoral stem implant to shield the covered surface from exposure to abrasive particles during an automated polishing process is described. The protective sleeve comprises a body having an annular sidewall that extends from a proximal end to a distal end and is composed of a polymeric material. A cavity resides within the body extending through the distal end to a proximal end sidewall positioned perpendicular to the annular sidewall. The protective sleeve further comprises at least one annular recess intermediate at least two annular ridges that reside along an interior surface at the distal end of the sleeve. These series of annular ridges and recesses form a removably tight seal around the exterior surface that minimizes the migration of abrasive polishing particles to the exterior surface of the orthopedic tool or implant. The system further comprises an impactor and extractor tools which facilitate the positioning and removal of the protective sleeve from the surface thereof. 1. The invention herein described is an endoprosthesis intended to replace a resected portion of bone and joint. The invention can be non-invasively, manually operated to lengthen a patient's limb both intraoperatively and postoperatively.
