A ski transport system may include a pliable cord with a first end and a second end. A loop may be provided on the first and second ends of the cord. A pair of hooks may be movably mounted to the cord, providing at least two degrees of freedom of each hook relative to the cord. One degree of freedom may include movement along the length of the cord between the first end and the second end, the loops provided on the first end and the second end acting as stops to capture the hooks on the cord. The first end of the cord may be wrapped one or more times around a set of skis and poles in one position and the second end of the cord may be wrapped one or more times around the skis and poles at a second position, securing the hooks to the respective loops. The greater the tension in the cord, the greater the frictional force will be exerted on the skis and poles to secure them to the transport system. A user may lift the skis and poles between the first end and the second end of the cord to transport the items.

In one aspect, the invention is directed to a sharpener for sharpening a corner edge of a snow travel member, which may be, for example, a ski or a snowboard. The corner edge is between a bottom face and a side face of the snow travel member. The sharpener includes an angle adjustment mechanism to adjust the angle between surfaces on the sharpener that support the bottom face and side face of the snow travel member, in order to accommodate different snow travel members, that may have different angles between their bottom face and their side face. For example, the angle adjustment member may be capable of adjusting the angle between a bottom face orienting surface on the sharpener and a side face orienting surface on the sharpener between a range of angles. The range of angles may be, for example, a range from 85 degrees and 90 degrees.

The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a ski strap.3. The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the ski strap comprises a length extending from a buckle claim 2 , the buckle permitting the length to be fed therethrough to tighten the skis against the first and second portions by looping the length around a portion of the buckle.4. The assembly of claim 3 , wherein the buckle further comprises an angled tooth for securing the length of the strap to itself claim 3 , using one of a plurality of holes along the length.5. Such configurations may allow repeated sharpening of a ski edge at specific/chosen angles with a specific/chosen surface finish. An attachment for a ski waxing iron, which prevents molten ski wax from flowing onto ski sidewalls, is comprised of two clamping bars and two blades. The clamping bars may be affixed to the iron base, parallel to each other. Thin blades are affixed to the front end of the clamping bars and extend rearward. From the front of the attachment to the rear, the distance between the blades becomes smaller. As the iron base with affixed attachment is drawn along the length of the ski base, the blades, held tight to the ski by spring tension, prevent molten ski wax from flowing downward onto the ski sidewalls. This results in a thicker wax layer remaining on the ski base and eliminates the need for removal of wax from the ski sidewalls.

The purpose of this invention is to create a grooved trail in fresh snow to guide all skiers that follow in the same track. Without this attachment installed on the lead skier's ski, the soft snow on each side of the packed ski track does not help to keep the subsequent skier's ski in the lead skier's track.
