The present invention provides a method for producing a fibre composite component, comprising: arranging a first and a second mould in relation to one another in such a way that these together form a first cavity; laying a fibre material on the first and/or second mould; filling the formed first cavity with a casting material and solidifying said casting material in order to seal the first and the second mould to one another and/or interconnect them; and infiltrating the fibre material with a matrix and curing said matrix to form the fibre composite component. 1. A method for producing a fibre composite component , comprising:arranging a first and a second mould in relation to one another in such a way that these together form a first cavity;laying a fibre material on the first and/or second mould;filling the formed first cavity with a casting material and solidification of said casting material in order to seal the first and the second mould to one another and/or interconnect them; andinfiltrating the fibre material with a matrix and curing said matrix to form the fibre composite component.2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the first mould comprises a first recess and the second mould comprises a second recess claim 1 , which recesses together form the first cavity.3. The mandrel of claim 1 , wherein the elastomeric housing comprises a mixture of ferromagnetic components and rubber.3. The present invention is a multipart system and method for using cloth filters in automated vertical molding. The system includes a filter setter, a filter print plate and a filter back shelf. The filter setter removably mounts to a mechanical arm and releasably carries at least one cloth filter between upper and lower jaws. The filter print plate mounts to a ram plate while the filter back shelf mounts to a swing plate. During vertical molding, the ram plate and swing plate compress sand to create a mold. A mold assembly for simultaneously molding a plurality of plastic lenses. The mold assembly includes a pair of plastic plaques each of which have a plurality of mold surface portions formed thereon separated from one another by a relatively flexible reference-web portion. The assembly further includes appropriate gasketing structure which is positioned between the reference-web portions of the plaques to define a plurality of substantially isolated lens molding cavities between the mold surface portions thereof. The gasketing structure additionally includes referencing means which cooperate with and maintain the reference-web portions of the plaques at a predetermined spacing regardless of any non-uniformity in the spacing between the mold surface portions of the plaques and hence independent of any nonuniformity in the cross-sectional shape of the lenses produced therebetween. The mold assembly is designed to permit rapid alignment of the mold surfaces, to enable easy separation of the plaques from the finished lenses, and in general, to substantially simplify the entire plastic ophthalmic lens manufacturing process.

The procedure consists of applying a continuous layer of organic and reinforcing fibres to a moving substrate, covering at least one surface of the fibre layer with a powdered organic material - thermoplastic or thermosetting particles - and heating it to a temperature sufficient to melt the powder. The layer is then compressed and cooled to make a strip of composition material that can be cut into panels or rolled up on a support. The reinforcing fibres, of glass carbon or aramide, comprise preferably 30 - 85 per cent of the layer, and can be in the form of continuous or cut fibres, or a woven, knitted or non-interwoven layer. The powdered plastic is applied in a quantity sufficient to give a preferable final thickness of 0.5 - 0.8 mm.
