A coating composition using a hologram thin film and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to easily coat hologram patterns of various sizes and to improve durability. A coating composition manufacturing method comprises the steps of: scratching a hologram transcription film(2) with holding a plate form of a hologram thin film by applying physical force to a thermal deposition layer, a hologram thin film layer, and a protection layer except for a base film(6), wherein the hologram transcription film is formed by stacking the thermal deposition layer, the hologram thin film layer, the protection layer, and the base film in order and mixing a binder solution with hologram particles(4) kept in a plate form by the thermal deposition layer and the protection layer. The thermal deposition layer is made of at least one resin selected from polyurethane, polyester, epoxy, acryl, and acryl urethane. A hologram pattern is formed on the hologram thin film layer by mixing at least one metal powder selected from aluminum, zinc, nickel, chrome, titanium, zinc oxide, zirconium oxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide, barium titanate, zinc titanate, and barium sulfate, at least one glossy particle selected from rainbow, fiber powders, pearl sheet chips, fluorescent pigment chips, reflective sheet chips, and shells, and at least one transparent resin selected from polyester, polyamide, polyvinylchloride, styrene copolymer resin, and ionomer resin of methacrylic acid or acrylic acid and ethylene, applying the mixture on the protection layer, and then executing a gravure or rotary screen printing. The protection layer is made of at least one resin selected from amino-alkyd resin, thermosetting acryl resin, polyurethane, polyester, polypropylene, paraffin wax, ethylene vinyl acetate, and epoxy.
