A roof airbag device for a vehicle , comprising:an outer cushion having, when inflated, a inverted-U shape, a circumferential wall of which extends longitudinally, and including a left wing part and a right wing part, which are oppositely disposed to define a head-receiving region, an upper cushion part connecting the left and right wing parts, and an outlet hole through which an inflation gas from an inflator is flows; andan inner cushion disposed between the left and right wing parts, and having an inlet hole through which the inflation gas is supplied from the outer cushion via the outlet hole of the outer cushion, and a discharge hole through which the inflation gas is discharged to the outside.2. The lamp pattern wraps up at least a portion of the folded curtain airbag cushion. The lamp pattern initially wrapping up the folded curtain airbag cushion guides the curtain airbag cushion to the interior of the vehicle when the curtain airbag cushion is deployed, thereby preventing the curtain airbag cushion from being inserted into the pillar trim, so that the curtain airbag cushion is stably deployed.

An airbag device includes an airbag deployable out of a housing when fed with inflation gas, a limitation member capable of constraining a part of the airbag from unfolding and deploying, a wrapping member which wraps the airbag for keeping the folded-up configuration, and a flap member capable of covering an abnormally-seated vehicle occupant from the airbag. The limitation member has flexibility and includes a temporal holding section which holds a folded region of the airbag in a releasable fashion, a mounting section by which the limitation member is mounted on the housing and a connecting section connecting the mounting section and the temporal holding section. The temporal holding section includes a holding recess and frees the folded region via an opening of the holding recess when a periphery of the opening is deformed at airbag deployment. An airbag device includes an inflator, an airbag, a holding member, and a gas rectifying member. The holding member has an opening to be formed at least when the airbag initiates to inflate. The holding member restricts the inflation of the airbag toward its outer periphery until the middle of the deployment of the airbag. The gas rectifying member restricts a flow of a gas toward an occupant and has an outlet port that discharges the gas toward the outer periphery of the airbag. When the airbag inflates, the gas rectifying member projects toward the occupant through the opening of the holding member, and the gas of the inflator causes the gas rectifying member to inflate until at least part of the outlet port is located at the occupant side beyond the opening of the holding member.

The present invention discloses a cover material for an inflatable object such as an air bag. Generally, the cover surrounds the entire inflatable object. The cover has a valve to allow for vacuum compression of the inflatable object. In one embodiment the cover material is constructed out of heat shrinkable material so that the construction may be both compressed and shrunk to allow for the inflatable object to occupy less area. The present invention also discloses a method of constructing an encapsulated inflatable object utilizing the cover presently disclosed. 1.
