The invention relates to a labelling plant and method for containers. Heat shrinkable sleeves are supplied and containers are supplied. A device for arranging the sleeve around the container will arrange the sleeve in a position with respect to the container. In a heat shrink oven the sleeves are fixed to the container forming the label. A conveyor will transport containers from the container supply and sleeves from the sleeve supply into the heat shrink oven. According to the invention a sleeve support will hold one or more sleeves in a predetermined position with respect to the container. An automated labeling method and apparatus includes a label web-severing mechanism and a label-applying assembly, the web-severing mechanism configured to synchronously sever a plurality of labels from a self-wound label web, and the label-applying assembly configured to synchronously apply the plurality of severed labels to a corresponding plurality of articles to be labeled. 1. The presently disclosed subject matter is directed to a film comprising a blend of about 90% to 99% polyester and about 1% to 10% biodegradable aliphatic or aromatic polyester (by weight). It has been surprisingly discovered that polymeric films comprising the disclosed blend exhibit improved flexibility and impact strength compared to polyester films known in the art. Films with the disclosed blends also advantageously do not adversely affect recyclability of the film. The disclosed films can be used in a wide variety of areas, including (but not limited to) shrink sleeve applications. 1. A polymeric film , said film comprising at least one layer comprising a blend of:a. a first component comprising about 90 to 99% polyester, based on the total weight of the layer; andb. a second component comprising about 1 to 10% biodegradable aliphatic or aromatic polyester, based on the total weight of the layer,wherein the film has a free shrink at 185° F. in at least one of the machine or transverse directions of at least about 10% measured in accordance with ASTM D 2732.2. A liquid radiation-curable seaming agent having an immediate welding strength of greater than 2 grams within less than 0.5 seconds on an associated label film , and having at least one component with a Hildebrand solubility parameter that is within 2.2 MPaor within 4.4 calories·cmof a Hildebrand solubility parameter of an external layer of the associated label film , and having a viscosity of at least 1 centipoise and less than 300 centipoise when measured at any temperature between ambient temperature and 60° C.; wherein when the % VOC of the seaming agent is measured per the modified method of Example 4 , the % VOC of the seaming agent is less than 25%.2. The invention relates to a system and method for forming sleeved containers. The system includes a conveyor for transporting a row of containers, a sleeving unit for arranging sleeves around containers and a heat oven for attaching the sleeve around the container by heat shrinking. The conveyed containers are provided with a sleeve and the sleeved container is transported in the oven to allow the sleeve to shrink. According to the invention, part of the sleeve is removed using a removal unit. The part is removed after heat shrinking.
