A plurality of small packages, each for approximately a day's supply of tampons, are provided in an outer carrier box. The tampons in the small packages may be provided in a single row, and may be individually adhered to the bottom of the package. Each small package may be tapered to facilitate insertion of the individual package into a small space, such as a pocket, for discrete storage or carrying. The individual package may be formed with an inner box covered by an outer sleeve movable, like a flap, from the inner box to permit ready access to the contents of the inner box. A closure is provided that is resistant to inadvertent opening. The closure may be specifically configured for a tapered end of a tapered package. The closure may conceal the engaging elements thereof from view to inhibit inadvertent opening of the closure. If desired, a feedback feature, such as an auditory or tactile cue, may be provided by the closure to cue the user that the closure is securely closing the package.

Packaging for a catheter includes coiled tubing for receiving the catheter and a mounting card coupled to the coiled tubing. The windings of the coiled tubing are welded together to maintain the coiled configuration. The mounting card includes an integral support flap for reducing the risk of damage during catheter insertion and removal, an integral luer retainer for securing a catheter luer, and one or more integral tabs for attaching catheter accessories to the packaging. The integral support flap creates a contact zone which discourages grasping the packaging at a location that can potentially damage an object passing through the packaging, such as a balloon and/or stent. The integral luer retainer is configured to selectively alternate between a configuration which secures the catheter luer and configuration which allows releases the luer for easy insertion and removal of the catheter.

Spices are packaged in a card format. In one embodiment, multiple pods of a single spice are adhered to a card. The spices are used in a “peel off, peel open” manner. That is, a pod is peeled off the card; then a seal of the pod is peeled open to allow the spice to be poured out. Remaining pods continue to be adhered to the card and stored for later use. Cards for different spices are readily grouped together, such as in a box or tin. If the cards are made relatively thin, dozens of different spices can be conveniently stored in a compact box or the like. Preferably, card backs are printed with the name of the spice and possibly other information about the spice. If the spices cards are arranged together alphabetically, in a “spice index” arrangement, a desired spice may be found very readily. 1. This disclosure provides the first description of hESC-derived cells transplanted into human patients. Results are reported for one patient with each of Stargardt's Macular Dystrophy (SMD) and Dry Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). Controlled hESC differentiation resulted in near-100% pure RPE populations. Immediately after surgery, hyperpigmentation was visible at the transplant site in both patients, with subsequent evidence the cells had attached and integrated into the native RPE layer. No signs of inflammation or hyperproliferation were observed. The hESC-derived RPE cells have shown no signs of rejection or tumorigenicity at the time of this report. Visual measurements suggest improvement in both patients. 1. A catheter assembly includes a catheter, preferably having a hydrophilic surface coating; and a package accommodating said catheter. The package preferably also accommodates a wetting fluid. The package includes a first and a second sheet material connected around the edges; a perforation line extending along a non-closed loop in one of said sheet materials, which defines a flap opening; a third sheet material connected by means of an adhesive over said flap opening. The third sheet material with a margin covers the entire flap opening. The adhesive is adapted to maintain a sterile closure of the package before use, and to be resealable after use. The present specification discloses a combined drape and carrying bag unit used in medical and surgical settings with an indicator attached to a drawstring of the unit. Conversion of the unit from a drape or mat configuration involves pulling on exposed drawstring sections and results in deployment of the identifying indicator.
