Disclosed is a paper mixing preventing apparatus which prevents a paper sheet stacked on a paper buffering unit, a paper arranging unit, or a stacker tray on a paper feeing path and a succeeding feeding sheet from being out of sequence. A lower unit and an upper unit are installed between a stacked paper sheet and the succeeding paper sheet. A pressing plate of the upper unit and the support plate of the lower unit move, so the support plate of the lower unit is rotated together with the pressing plate to prevent the succeeding paper sheet from being damaged. The associated movements of the lower unit and the upper unit are released at a position where the pressing plate of the upper unit is moved, and the lower unit primarily returns to its initial state and the upper unit returns to its initial state subsequently.

To take blanks of sheets for producing laminated glass, from a cutting table, an adjustable takeoff roller onto which the sheet blanks are wound is used. Personalized printed products are produced in which at least one individually printed sheet is combined with conventionally printed sheets. A plurality of stacks of conventionally printed sheets are made available. In addition, a print material web is made available that contains individual sheet segments and respectively one marking based on information received from a database, or a roll is provided which contains a pre-printed material web containing the sheets segments with respective markings. The markings on the individual sheet segments are read out and information read from the markings is used for selective gathering of conventionally printed sheets that are needed for the personalize printed product. The staple unit, which has an automatic mode and a manual mode as processing modes for stapling processing, executes stapling processing for a paper sheet conveyed to the processing tray by the conveyance portion in the automatic mode, and executes stapling processing for a paper sheet stacked on the processing tray by a user in the manual mode. The cover is attached in an openable and closable manner so as to cover the operation portion when closed, and expose the operation portion when opened. While the open/close detection portion is detecting that the cover is opened, when the operation portion has received an operation for switching to the manual mode, the mode switching portion switches the automatic mode to the manual mode.
