The other component is at least one oxidizer, or at least one oxidizer and at least one of at least one secondary explosive composition and at least one energetic binder. The primer composition optionally includes at least one element having an ionic charge to ionic radius ratio of 4 or of 8, such as magnesium, zirconium, aluminum, silicon, titanium, tungsten, alloys thereof, and combinations thereof. The red phosphorus and the at least one oxidizer are present in the primer composition at approximately stoichiometric amounts. An ordnance element including the primer composition is also disclosed.

La bombe (1) de l'invention comporte un dispositif de propulsion logé dans le culot (4), un système de guidage (21), un brouilleur constitué d'une antenne de radar (5) logée dans un radôme (2) à l'avant de la bombe pour recevoir des signaux électromagnétiques émis par un radar ennemi, d'une unité centrale de traitement (6) pour mesurer des caractéristiques physiques de ces signaux et pour déterminer le type de radar ennemi en comparant ces caractéristiques mesurées avec des données prédéterminées, et d'un générateur d'impulsions électromagnétiques pour produire un signal représentatif de la signature d'un avion, lequel signal est émis par l'antenne de radar dans les mêmes mode et bande de fréquence que le signal reçu, et des cartouches de leurrage de type infrarouge et/ou électromagnétique dont l'éjection est commandée sélectivement par le brouilleur en fonction du type de radar ennemi déterminé. L'invention s'applique notamment à l'industrie de l'armement.

The product does not readily evaporate and may be heated to 75‹ C. without igniting in the absence of friction. Hydrocarbons such as Venetian turpentine may be added to assist ignition and retard evaporation.

Dieser rote Phosphor wird hergestellt, indem man in eine wässerige Suspension von rotem Phosphor mit einer Teilqhengröße bis zu etwa 2 mm eine wässerige Emulsion der als Phlegmatisierungsmittel dienenden organischen Verbindung einträgt, derart, daß auf über 98 bis 99,95 Masse- Teile roter Phosphor unter 2 bis 0,05 Masse-Teile der organischen Verbindung fallen, worauf man das Gemisch nach Einstellen eines pH-Wertes von 5 bis 9 während 0,5 bis 3 Stunden bei einer Temperatur von 20 bis 90°C rührt und schließlich den phlegmatisierten roten Phosphor nach der Filtration bei erhöhter Temperatur trocknet.

Preferably, the chlorine compound is hexachloroethane. Also preferably, the molar fraction of the mixture of alkaline-earth metal and alkaline-earth metal oxide in the composition is between 0.37 and 0.91. The alkaline-earth metal comprises particles having an average size of 50-100 μm and particles having an average size of 150-300 μm.

Matches.-A process for making damp-proof matches consists in using in the paste from which the heads are formed an agglutinating substance formed by the condensation product of a mixture of substances having the properties of phenol and of an aldehyde. These substances react when heated and produce, in the presence of suitable catalysers, insoluble bodies. For example, a paste is prepared by placing the powdered constituents in a bath containing water, phenol aldehyde, and soda, the stalks are dipped into this bath and after removal the tips are allowed to harden. The aldehyde and the catalyser, which may be hydrochloric acid, may be used in the form of vapour. An example of a suitable paste is the following : 15 parts of resorcin, 15 parts of formalin, 14 parts of soda, 35 parts of potassium chlorate, and 21 parts of powdered glass.

The compsn. contains potassium chlorate, a binder, a thickener, a filler and a foaming agent to the exclusion of sulphur, ZnO or a dichromate. Amt. of potatssium chlorate is 40-60 dry wt.%, and the proportion of ferrophosphorus is in excess of 4 dry wt.%. The ferrophosphorus has a particle size of 5-100 microns. The binder is gelatine, or animal glue and is present as 3-12 dry wt.%. The filler is felspar or another siliceous mineral. The compsn. further contains up to 10 dry wt.% of iron oxide as pigment. The density of the formulation when in the form of a wet compsn. is 1.0-1.4 g/cm3.
