Optional ingredients are inorganic and organic builders, bleaching agents, e.g. sodium perborate, enzymes and soil suspending agents, e.g. carboxymethyl cellulose. Quaternary ammonium, betaine, or sulfobetaine compositions derived from fatty amidoamines, wherein the amidoamine is made by reacting of a metathesis-derived C-Cmonounsaturated acid, octadecene-1,18-dioic acid, or their ester derivatives and an aminoalkyl-substituted tertiary amine, are also disclosed. The quaternized compositions are advantageously sulfonated or sulfated. In one aspect, the ester derivative of the C-Cmonoun-saturated acid or octadecene-1,18-dioic acid is a lower alkyl ester. In other aspects, the ester derivative is a modified triglyceride made by self-metathesis of a natural oil or an unsaturated triglyceride made by cross-metathesis of a natural oil with an olefin. The quaternary ammonium, betaine, and sulfobetaine compositions and their sulfonated or sulfated derivatives are valuable for a wide variety of end uses, including cleaners, fabric treatment, hair conditioning, personal care (liquid cleansing products, conditioning bars, oral care products), antimicrobial compositions, agricultural uses, and oil field applications. 1. HARD SURFACE CLEANERS BASED ON COMPOSITIONS DERIVED FROM NATURAL OIL METATHESIS

Aqueous hard surface cleaner compositions derived from metathesized natural oil feedstocks are disclosed. In one aspect, the compositions comprise at least one anionic surfactant derived from a metathesis-derived C10-C17 monounsaturated acid, 5 octadecene-1,18-dioic acid, or their ester derivatives. In another aspect, aqueous hard surface cleaners comprising at least one nonionic or amphoteric surfactant derived from a metathesis-derived C10-C17 monounsaturated acid, octadecene-1,18-dioic acid, or their ester derivatives are disclosed. The aqueous cleaners noted above rival or outperform commercial baselines in a Gardner straight-line washability test. Industrial degreasers comprising a C10 or C12 amide solvent and derived from a metathesis-derived C10-C17 monounsaturated acid are superior to commercial standards. 1. The invention is a detergent solution for cleaning a receptacle for milk or liquid milk-derived products, the detergent solution comprising water, one or more types of surfactant and an odour absorbing compound. The surfactants are provided to dissolve greasy milk-based residues from the receptacle and the odour absorbing compound is provided to neutralise odours produced by any remaining milk-based residues not removed by the surfactants. The detergent solution is water-based so that it can be rinsed off easily in a sink in the home. The detergent solution is particularly suited to plastic receptacles because plastic is more prone to accumulating mal-odour producing bacteria. This is because a plastic surface is more porous than glass so it is more difficult to remove greasy residues from a plastic surface and therefore grease can build up in the pores, out of the reach of surfactants, and provide a place for odour-producing bacteria to grow. An odour absorbing compound does not remove the residue but can neutralise the odours from the residue. The invention also discloses a method for dispensing a detergent solution comprising at least one surfactant, the method comprising ejecting detergent solution from a reservoir in the form of a spray, wherein the surfactant is present in the detergent solution in an amount of from 3% to 15% by weight of the detergent solution. The invention discloses also a method of cleaning a receptacle for milk, or liquid milk-derived products, the method comprising: spraying a detergent solution comprising at least one surfactant onto the receptacle, wherein the surfactant is present in the detergent solution in an amount of from 3% to 15% by weight of the detergent solution. 1. Acidic viscoelastic cleaning compositions are disclosed which use non polymer thickening agents. Detergents useful for cold-water cleaning and mid-chain headgroup and alkylene-bridged surfactants useful therein are disclosed. The mid-chain headgroup surfactant has a C-Calkyl chain and a polar group bonded to a central zone carbon of the alkyl chain. The alkylene-bridged surfactant has a C-Calkyl chain, a polar group, and a C-Calkylene group bonded to the polar group and a central zone carbon of the C-Calkyl chain. Preferred surfactants in these classes are alcohol sulfates, alcohol ethoxylates, ether sulfates, sulfonates, arylsulfonates, alcohol phosphates, amine oxides, quaterniums, betaines, and sulfobetaines. Surprisingly, detergents formulated with the surfactants provide outstanding cold-water performance in removing greasy stains such as bacon grease, butter, cooked beef fat, or beef tallow from soiled articles. 1. A method which comprises laundering a soiled textile article in water having a temperature less than 30° C. in the presence of a detergent to produce a cleaned textile article , wherein the detergent comprises a mid-chain headgroup surfactant , wherein the surfactant is a sulfate or ether sulfate of an alcohol selected from the group consisting of 8-hexadecanol , 9-octadecanol , and 10-eicosanol.2. The method of wherein the laundering is performed at a temperature within the range of 5° C. to 28° C.3. The method of wherein the detergent further comprises a lipase.4. The method of wherein the surfactant is a sulfate of 9-octadecanol or 8-hexadecanol.5. SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to a liquid detergent composition for washing, which contains from 0.5 to 10 wt % of the said composition of peroxide bleach, a sulphonated anionic surface active substance and an amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surface active substance, where a weight ratio of the sulphonated anionic surface active substance to the amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surface active substance is in the range from 2:1 to 1:6, and the composition has viscosity from 200 to 28800 cP at 75°F.
