The invention provides a method and formulation for cleaning a soiled substrate, the method comprising the treatment of the moistened substrate with a formulation comprising a multiplicity of polymeric particles, wherein the polymeric particles comprise at least one antimicrobial agent. Preferably, the substrate is wetted so as to achieve a substrate to water ratio of between 1:0.1 to 1:5 w/w. Process to prepare an aqueous composition comprising a non-ionic antibacterial compound having a ClogP above about 2, the process having the steps of: 1. The process according to claim 1 , wherein the premix comprises at least about 1% per weight of non-ionic antibacterial compound having a ClogP above about 2.5. The process according to claim 1 , wherein the premix comprises from about 0 to about 20% per weight of water.6. The process according to claim 1 , wherein the premix comprises from about 0.4 to about 20% per weight of non-ionic surfactant.7. A solid fabric softening composition is disclosed which includes a quaternary ammonium fabric softening compound which is stabilized to form a solid with a mixture of a water soluble organic salt and a medium to long chain carboxylic acid. This stabilizing combination has been shown to effectively form a solid quaternary ammonium based fabric softening composition with up to as much as 70% by weight of quaternary ammonium compound. The formulations are stable at typical storage temperatures of up to 110° F. and provide fabric softening similar to and even superior to other traditional liquid formulations. 1. A solid cast fabric softening composition comprising:(a) a fabric softening amount of a quaternary ammonium compound(b) a medium to long chain carboxylic acid, and(c) a water soluble organic salt, wherein the medium to long chain carboxylic acid and water soluble organic salt are in a ratio sufficient to stabilize the quaternary ammonium compound in a solid non-weeping formulation at 110° F.2. A method for viral inactivation method of a preparation of monoclonal antibodies , comprising contacting the preparation of monoclonal antibodies with a nonionic detergent , wherein the contacting is carried out under stirring in a single-use flexible bag capable of receiving and containing the preparation of monoclonal antibodies.2. The invention is directed to a method of cleaning and disinfecting a contact lens. The method includes instructing a consumer to disinfect their contact lens comprising the following steps: remove a contact from an eye and position the lens in a lens assembly that includes a cap member; add a disinfection solution to the lens case such that the lens is submerged in the solution upon closure of the lens case with the cap member. The disinfection solution will comprise 0.5 wt. % to 6 wt. % hydrogen peroxide or a chemical precursor of hydrogen peroxide, and a P-metal modulating compound. The presence of the P-metal modulating compound in the disinfection solution decreases the neutralization rate of the hydrogen peroxide. The disinfection system exhibits a pseudo first-order, half-life of hydrogen peroxide from 12 minutes to 30 minutes over an initial sixty minutes of neutralization following exposure of the disinfection solution to a catalyst comprising a P-metal. This reduction in rate of peroxide neutralization can provide a more effective solution for killing certain microorganisms and fungi. 1. Methods employing detergent compositions comprising phosphinosuccinic acid oligomers (PSO) in combination with a sanitizing rinse aid are disclosed. The methods beneficially clean, sanitize and rinse a surface in an efficient two-step process. Water soluble packets containing cleaning concentrates in gel form in unit dose, ready-to-use and pouches to be reconstituted in ready-to-use cleaners and fabric treatment products are provided. The packets are stable despite the fact that the cleaning formulas for laundry and manual dishwashing contain more than 24% of water by weight. The reconstitution system is comprised of a container and a mixer, manual or powered, specifically designed to prevent foam formation during the reconstitution process while producing a shearing effect to cut the concentrated gels into easy to disperse pieces, although various embodiments described herein do not require the use of a mixing device for reconstitution. All components of the system are: biodegradable, compostable, recyclable, or reusable, leading to near zero waste to the environment. 1. A concentrated detergent composition comprising:a formulation comprising an amount of at least one surfactant and an amount of water, wherein the water content is between 24% and 30%, the formulation of said detergent composition for packaging within packets of water-soluble film.2.
