FORMATION OF SHEET MATERIAL USING HYDROENTANGLEMENT

Номер: US20140113520A1
Принадлежит: E-Leather Limited

A method is described for forming reconstituted leather sheet material from a mixture of base fibres, such as leather fibres, and bi-component synthetic fibres which have outer layers which melt at a lower temperature than their inner cores. The fibres are mixed, formed into a web and then heated so that the synthetic fibres fuse together to form a network within the web. The base fibres are then tangled, whilst constrained by the network, preferably using hydroentanglement. A high quality reconstituted leather sheet material is thus produced. 1. A reconstituted leather sheet material having a leather-like feel , the reconstituted leather sheet material being formed by a method comprising the steps of:evenly distributing and compressing a mixture of predominantly waste leather base fibres and additional synthetic fibres to form a web, wherein the additional synthetic fibres have meltable surface layers and the base waste leather fibres comprise leather fibres having fibrillated branches, heating the web to melt the surface layers of the additional synthetic fibres so as to cause such fibres to fuse together at intersections to form fused network intersections within the web mixture, andsubjecting the web mixture to successive hydroentanglement stages to entangle the waste leather fibres with each other while initially constrained by the network, such that the increase in tensile strength arising from the hydroentanglement of the fibers within the web is greater than the tensile strength of the web prior to hydroentanglement.2. FORMATION OF SHEET MATERIAL USING HYDROENTANGLEMENT

Номер: US20190276962A1
Принадлежит:

A method of forming a reconstituted leather sheet material having a leather-like feel , comprising the steps of:evenly distributing and compressing a mixture of predominantly waste leather base fibres and additional synthetic fibres to form a web, wherein the additional synthetic fibres have meltable surface layers and the base waste leather fibres comprise leather fibres having fibrillated branches, heating the web to melt the surface layers of ...

A printed sheet fiber entanglement apparatus entangles fibers from neighboring printed fibrous layers (e.g., sheets) with one another. As a stack of printed fibrous sheets is built up, periodically a holey plate is loaded against the top sheet of the stack. The guide plate may move the sheet down over the registration pins, and then an array of felting needles are thrust into the stack. An array of needles with upward and/or downward facing barbs is thrust thought holes in the guide plate into the stack through printed sheets closest to the guide plate. As the needles pushed into or are withdrawn from the stack, barbs on the felting needles intertwine fibers from the fibrous sheets through printed marking material and with neighboring sheets. Microrelief backing for making nonwoven cloth and method of its manufacture, method and device for making nonwoven cloth

Номер: RU2142527C1
Принадлежит: МакНЕЙЛ-ППС, ИНК.

FIELD: manufacture of nonwoven cloth such as tricot. SUBSTANCE: microrelief backing includes body whose upper surface has pattern formed by many peaks and recesses and many holes. Holes have taper upper part surrounded by accumulation of peaks and recesses. Distance between centers of adjacent holes is lesser than maximum diameter of upper taper part of holes. Backing with molded microrelief is obtained by focusing laser beam in such way that focal point is below upper surface of blank; predetermined patter formed by taper holes is applied by means of laser beam. Pattern of taper holes forms accumulation of peaks and recesses surrounding each hole on upper surface of backing. EFFECT: low cost of manufacture of backing; reduced number of burrs, crooking and inhomogeneity.

FIELD: textile, paper. SUBSTANCE: method includes stabilisation of thin layer of nonwoven fibres into stabilised net; movement of stabilised net in machine direction; and contact of stabilised net with a flow of liquid, which is sent from nozzle under pressure of around 400 pounds per square inch (approximately 2.75 MPa), or more, at least partially along specified machine direction or opposite to it. Fibrous nonwoven structures have drapability more than 4 gm 2 /g and density of less than 0.08 g/cm 3 .
