The present invention provides a fastener stringer comprising a knit fastener tape of a warp knit structure having an element mounting portion and a tape main portion, and a coiled plastic element row sewed on the element mounting portion wherein, two needle yarns for sewing the element row on the element-mounting portion are so arranged that they interpose a wale whereby two sewing lines, are formed, and any one of knitting yarns that straddle an inside sewing line of the two sewing lines has a fineness of 72-330 dTex and substantially all of the other knitting yarns have a fineness of 56-167 dTex, provided that the one of the knitting yarns that straddle the inside sewing line of the two sewing lines is thicker than substantially all of the other knitting yarns. The present invention is a personal, portable hanging device that allows a user to temporarily and securely engage transportation hand-holds (e.g. a grab bar on a subway, boat, train, etc.) in a sanitary manner. The elongate device includes two loops at each end that are connected by two rigid intermediate sections that extend from the end of each loop and the two intermediate sections are joined by a central section. The central section includes a material with a high coefficient of friction that helps prevent the device from sliding along the hand-hold when in use. The loops are sized and shaped to receive a user's hands so that the user can hold onto the device and indirectly be secured to the transportation hand-hold. The device also includes fasteners to temporarily secure the device to a handhold or fold the device in a sanitary manner for storage.

Dispositif pour coudre à plat une moitié de collant et un gousset à un premier et un deuxième support 16, 18. A ce poste de couture, les bords de la partie supérieure du collant, formés lorsque cette dernière est ouverte au poste d'ouverture, et les bords du gousset, sont cousus ensemble. Chaque support est muni d'une came 78 qui coopère avec la surface de came 80 pour aligner les deux supports les uns par rapport aux autres, et des moyens 74, 84 qui mettent en rotation les deux supports autour de leur axe central, pour assembler successivement les bords de la partie supérieure du collant et du gousset, afin de pouvoir les coudre ensemble.

Abstract To vary the curvature of the toe seam in hosiery with a sewing machine for sewing toes, use is made of both a horizontal rotating circular surface to support the flattened point of the hose to be sewn with an upper coaxial disk with alternating vertical movement and firmly rotating in order to hold the end of the hose firmly during sewing. It includes: -the means (14, 16) to separately take up the stitches in several places, at the free end of the flattened toe of the hose to be sewn extending beyond the rotating sewing plane(4); -pneumatic means to activate and deactivate said means (14, 16) for taking up the hose; -means to set said means (14,16) to take up the hose for movement in a straight line of the hose in a lengthwise direction going away from the sewing surface (4) in order to obtain tension, that is, a stretching of the fabric of the toe of the hose that was taken up by these means (14,16), and respectively getting closer to the rotating sewing surface in order to obtain the movement in a straight line for return to the starting position after the hose has been released; -means for synchronization of the means for taking up the hose with the above-mentioned disk of the sewing machine for sewing toes. A sewing machine according to the present invention includes: a sewing machine main body including saw teeth exposed from a sliding plate for automatic fabric movement, presser feet unfolding a fabric on the saw teeth, and a needle performing sewing between the presser feet; and a guide pipe where a space portion is formed inside with respect to a longitudinal section for wick penetration and movement, the guide pipe being separated from a sewing machine upper plate and guiding the wick for supply in the direction opposite to the direction of movement of the fabric during sewing of the wick to the space between the presser feet and a worker via a part adjacent to the presser feet. The wick is supplied toward the presser feet after withdrawal from an end portion of the guide pipe. According to the present invention, the wick sewn with the fabric can be constantly supplied by a wick providing unit while a sufficient working space is ensured for the user. In addition, no wick loosening from the wick providing unit and wick deviation occur even in a case where the wick is cut after a certain fabric is provided.

In order to transfer a pantyhose from a pantyhose sewing machine to a machine sewing pieces of reinforcing fabric, the following sequential operations are performed: legs (30-31) are kept separated by two tubular suction structures (32-33); body (35) of garment (1) is held on pantyhose machine (3); a stretching device (9) with several parallel prongs aligned along a circle is inserted into opening (2) of the garment and the prongs are expanded; both legs and the body of the garment are freed by removing the stretching device (9) while the garment is kept suspended through its opening (2); said device (9) is positioned underneath and in line with support (4) of the garment in the machine that sews the reinforcing fabric; said device (9) is raised until ring with prongs (19) positions around said support (4); edge (37) to be sewn to the reinforcing fabric is laid down on the base of said support (4) while the remaining of the garment is being sucked into support (4); device (9) is lowered and prongs (19) are closed together.
