The invention relates to a dye, which has the following structural formula (I). A method for preparing the dye comprises the following steps of: (a) adding solution of hydrochloric acid and solution of sodium nitrite into m-(p-)nitroaniline; (b) adding H acid dropwise into the reaction solution in the step (a); (c) dissolving para-ester in water; (d) adding solution obtained by the step (c) into aqueous turbid liquid of cyanuric chloride, and adding 2,4-diaminobenzenesulfonic acid after the reaction is finished; (e) adding solution of hydrochloric acid into the solution obtained by the step (d), and then adding solution of sodium nitrite; (f) adding the solution obtained by the step (e) dropwise into the solution obtained by the step (b); and (g) under the alkaline condition, converting beta-sulfatoethylsulfonyl in the solution obtained by the step (f) into vinylsulfonyl so as to prepare the compound with the structural formula (I).

Azo dyes are formed on fabrics by treating the fabric, impregnated with a diazotised amine, with urea and then effecting coupling of the diazotised amine with a coupling component. In one embodiment, the fabric is treated with a mixture of a diazotisable amine and a coupling component, such as betaoxynaphthoic acid or phloroglucinol, diazotisation of the amine then being effected on the fabric at a temperature below 30 DEG C., and a solution of urea applied, whereupon the temperature is finally raised to 60 DEG -100 DEG C. to effect coupling. In another embodiment, the fabric is first impregnated with an amine which is diazotised in situ and then treated with urea, by adding it to the diazotisation bath or by applying it from a separate bath, and finally treated in a bath containing the coupling component; or as an alternative, the coupling component may be added to the separate urea bath when this is employed. A preparation for dyeing fibres of cellulose acetate or of superpolyamide consists of a finely and uniformly dispersed mixture of a diazolizable base and a coupling agent, the proportions being such that the base and the coupling agent are fixed on the fibre in equimolecular proportions for a fibre to bath ratio of 1 to 30 and a dyeing temperature of 80 DEG C. The preparation may also contain alkali in amount necessary for dissolving the coupling agent, sodium nitrite and a dispersing agent. In the formation of azo dyestuffs on nylon textile materials, an arylamide of a hydroxy-carboxylic acid (coupling agent) and a diazotized arylamine which has been combined with a primary or secondary amine are applied simultaneously from an aqueous bath and the azo dyestuff subsequently developed by treatment with a hot aqueous solution of a mineral acid. Arylamides of 2 : 3 hydroxynaphthoic acid, o-hydroxycarbazole carboxylic acid or acetoacetic acid may be employed, in the form of the free hydroxy compound, in neutral or slightly alkaline dispersion or as the sodium salt in strongly alkaline solution. In an example, an aqueous paste of the 5-methoxy-o-toluidide of 2 : 3 hydroxynaphthoic acid containing Turkey Red Oil is heated to the boil and caustic soda is added. In the dyeing of polyamide-cotton mixtures with azoic dyes only it is important to have dye-forming components which exhaust conjointly on at least one of the two fibres. Another prerequisite is that the coupling and diazo components in question remain stable side by side in the same exhaust bath under the conditions of the first impregnation without precipitation of azo dyes already formed in this liquor as a result of coupling or any other separation, which would have an adverse effect on the fastness of the dyeings to be produced only on the fibre. The lately available liquid preparations of specially dispersed aromatic amines, then, are diazo component precursors which meet the requirements mentioned, so that the two different constituent fibres of the blend can be coloured, admittedly in succession, but with one and the same class of dye.
