Due to the increasing rainfall (rain, l/s, m) lately, the problem of drainage of torrential surface water from sections of gravel roads with longitudinal slope should be dealt with more efficiently than it was the case with road construction with transverse slope. By installing permeable channels with trapezoidal cross-section with higher permeability comparing to the unbound surface layer of road structure, the road life-cycle increases. The installation of channels slightly increases investment costs of the road construction. Trapezoidal cross-section should lead to the stability of channels installed in the layers of road pavement structure, whereas the crushed stone filling which is less dense than the surface wear layer of road pavement structure (mainly a cavity to accept water) enables the sinking of torrential water from the pavement structure and discharge away from the road. 1. The procedure of drainage of torrential surface water from the gravel road sections with longitudinal slope would be carried out by dividing the gravel road into segments where the slope is longitudinal.2. A method, system, apparatus, and computer program products provides the ability to dynamically define and generate inlet spacing along a road in a building information model (BIM) computer aided design (CAD) three dimensional (3D) model. Inlet locations for inlets are determined based on the inlet spacing. A determination is made regarding whether the inlet spacing and inlets satisfy design rules for the road.
