A new inner passageway through a pre-cast concrete structure damaged by corrosion may be formed by stackable inserts formed of polymer concrete. The inserts may be stacked in the old passageway through the pre-cast concrete structure such that an inner surface of the stacked inserts forms a new passageway through the pre-cast concrete structure. A grout may be poured between an outer surface of the stacked inserts and an inner surface of the pre-cast concrete structure forming the old passageway. The surfaces of the stackable inserts may have superior resistance to corrosive acids such that the need for future repair is greatly reduced. Suitable pre-cast concrete structures for rehabilitation include pre-cast concrete structures utilized in wastewater systems, including manholes and other similar structures. In this manner, the damaged pre-cast concrete structures do not need to be removed during the rehabilitation.

An external air is introduced into a manhole through a inlet guide pipe and naturally and easily separate an oil-water mixture sewage into an oil sewage and the water sewage. A complete system and method can be used for the repair and sealing of a sewer manhole. The process of the present invention includes surface preparation with steps to purge out embedded contaminants, application of a primer to the prepared and purged surface, application of a closed cell foam layer over the primer layer, and application of polyurea layer disposed on the foam layer. By first making sure the concrete is purged of contaminants, the system, when applied, cannot be damaged by the outgassing of contaminants from the coated concrete as may be possible with conventional systems. Moreover, the system of the present invention uses a 100% polyurea coating that provides appropriate flexibility, strength, and chemical resistance.

The present invention provides an apparatus and method for repairing a manhole. The wall of the manhole is lined with a liner to form a new wall. The liner includes a resin that cures to form the new wall that is similar to the repaired wall. Embedded in the liner is a wireless data transfer mechanism that includes a transmitter, such as a radio-frequency identification (RFID). The RFID transmits identification information about the liner or the repaired wall. The transmitter may be capable of data entry in the field or may be otherwise field-programmable and further capable of transmitting at least one physical characteristic. Examples of physical characteristics may include temperature, pressure, chemical reactions, flow within the manhole, and the like. Additional transmitters may be used along the length of the manhole to determine characteristics at multiple locations, with each additional transmitter including the same or different sensors.

The panel assembly so formed is then attached to the sidewall of the sump about the outflow pipe entrance of the outflow pipe with a lower end below an invert of the pipe entrance and an upper end above a crown of the pipe entrance, in various aspects. When so attached to the sidewall of the sump, the panel assembly defines a passage and the water passes from the sump around the lower end of the panel assembly into the passage and thence into the pipe entrance of the outflow pipe with buoyant garbage being retained within the sump by the panel assembly, in various aspects. A security cover assembly for limiting access to a utility curb box, including an elongated security screw mounted to a cover member configured to cover a curb box to project down into the curb box and suspend a clamping disc movable up and down in the curb box by rotation in either opposite direction of the security screw by use of a specially configured key. A cutout on the clamping disc perimeter allows the clamping disc to be lowered beneath a conventional fixed flange projecting from a sidewall of the curb box and rotated into alignment therewith to thereafter be clamped thereto upon rotation of the security screw to thereafter prevent rotation of the cover assembly and removal of the cover assembly.
