Battery Powered Circuit For Ignition And Operation Of A UV Lamp

Номер: US20180014380A1
Принадлежит:

Typical prior art circuits for ignition and operation of UV lamps do not optimize power usage through the whole cycle of ignition and ongoing operation. Typically, the higher power required to initially ignite the UV lamp is not diminished once the UV lamp is burning brightly and at a desired temperature. The circuit of the present invention utilizes a sensor to monitor the light emitted from the UV lamp and a sensor to measure the temperature of the device containing the UV lamp as voltage is applied to it. Once the constant light and desired temperature are achieved, the voltage boost converter is latched away and constant lower voltage is provided to the UV lamp from that point forward, thus optimizing the energy consumption or the energy used for a battery powered device incorporating a UV lamp. 1. A method for ignition and operation of a UV lamp contained in a device , the method comprising the steps of:(a) applying power to a circuit;{'b': '1', '(b) starting a voltage boost converter for a period of time t;'}(c) generating control pulses on a power steering bridge;(d) monitoring an ignition, a brightness level, and/or a flickering of a UV lamp; [ [{'b': '1', 'resetting the period of time t; and'}, 'repeating steps (c), (d), and (e);, '(e1) if yes, increasing an output voltage of the voltage boost converter;'}, {'b': '2', '(e2) if no, keeping the output voltage of the voltage boost converter to the output voltage last used for a period of time t; and'}], '(e) determining if the UV lamp does not have the ignition, does not have the brightness level required, and/or does have the flickering{'b': '2', 'claim-text': (f1) if no, repeating step (e2);', latching a shorting key terminal; and', 'providing a constant lower voltage to the UV lamp., '(f2) if yes, disabling the voltage boost converter;'}], '(f) determining if the period of time t has expired, and/or a temperature of the device has been achieved that falls within a predetermined temperature stabilization ...

The present invention relates to an exterior door handle () for a vehicle () particularly for an activation of an electric lock () of the vehicle () comprising: The invention relates to an exterior door handle according to claim for a vehicle, particularly for an activation of an electric lock of a vehicle. Further, the invention relates to a method according to claim for a detection of an activation action at an exterior door handle of a vehicle. From the state of the art it is known that exterior door handles of vehicles are used for activating an electric lock for the vehicle. The electric lock is for example an electrically actuatable door lock. The unlocking of a lock can for example be initiated by an identification device, which herefore for example for the authentification transmits a code to a safety system of the vehicle. It may be possible that an activation, like a wake up of the identification device and/or an unlocking or an opening of the lock only occurs with or after approaching of the user or a hand of the user, and/or an application of force by the user at a door handle body of the exterior door handle with or after a performed authentification. The approaching or application of force is detected by sensors of the exterior door handle. It is turned out as a disadvantage that the detection by the sensors is often error-prone and/or susceptible to interferences. Thus, capacitive sensors can for example be used for the detection of the approaching wherein external influences like moisture or rain often lead to erroneous detections. Likewise, the sensitivity for the detection can be insufficient, whereby the comfort for the user is consequently diminished during the activation of the electric lock. Further, the arrangement of the corresponding sensors cannot be sufficiently adjusted to the given configuration of the door handle body. Hereby, further disadvantages concerning the comfort and increased space requirement result. The invention has the object ...
