Устройство включает корпус с основанием для крепления и размещенной внутри корпуса главной осью. На главной оси с возможностью вращения и взаимодействия с ответной частью устройства установлен подпружиненный запирающий элемент. Запирающий элемент включает продольную часть и поперечную часть с двумя плечами. Через нижнюю часть плеч проходит главная ось, а через верхнюю часть - зацеп. Зацеп соединен с одним концом упругого элемента, другой конец которого соединен с защелкой запирающего элемента. При этом хвостовая часть защелки пропущена между главной осью и зацепом, а передняя часть включает прорезь, через которую проходит ось защелки. Причем защелка включает нижнюю и верхнюю поверхности взаимодействия с язычком. При этом язычок выполнен с возможностью упругого отклонения от исходного положения при взаимодействии с нижней поверхностью защелки до момента срабатывания язычка в противоположном направлении и зацепления своей ответной частью с верхней поверхностью защелки. A safety lock mechanism is provided that facilitates accurate and consistent alignment between a locking bolt and a locking receptacle prior to engaging the locking bolt. To this end, a safety lock configured to mount to a door frame is provided with an internally disposed hard stop that protects the electrical and mechanical components within the safety lock housing from door impact shock. An extended portion of the hard stop protrudes through the housing facing the direction of door travel. A corresponding receptacle assembly configured to mount to the door is fabricated to include a bolt receptacle hole as well as an open window that engages with the extended portion of the hard stop when the door is in the closed position. When the window in the receptacle is engaged with the extended portion of the hard stop, door movement is limited in five directions even when the locking bolt is not yet engaged. An optional magnet embedded in the hard stop can limit door movement in the sixth direction by magnetically latching to a striking plate mounted behind the window. Thus, the window and the hard stop pre-position the receptacle for proper alignment between the locking bolt and the locking bolt receptacle, ensuring that the locking bolt will properly engage with the receptacle when advanced.

A door position sensor of an electromagnetic door lock. The electromagnetic lock also includes an electromagnet and a strike plate. The electromagnet is secured to the door frame and the strike plate is movably mounted to the door so that a controlled amount of door movement in the opening direction is permitted while the strike plate remains in contact with an energized electromagnet. The door position sensor may comprise a sensor in or on the electromagnet and a permanent magnet mounted to the door and disposed in proximity to the sensor when the door is in a closed position. Improvements to a changeable lock-cover are disclosed herein. The lock-cover operates with a combination or with a separate version/configuration for a key type lock. Minor geometry differences can be accommodated with the housing that can be made out of a hard plastic or a flexible material that conforms around the lock. The retention of the housing is with magnets, snaps or other temporary securing mechanism. A person can pull apart the closure to mover the cover to another lock or to change the cover to a different color or style. The face or indicia can take a number of different configurations including, but not limited to letters, colors, faces, insignias, moving components, lights, pictures and others. The mechanism that retains the cover together is stronger than the mechanism that holds to face or indicia onto the housing. 1. A latch for releasably connecting two elements is operable between engaged and released positions. An elongate handle opens and closes a latch mechanism about a first axis of rotation at the rear end of the handle. The latch handle is held closed only when the latch mechanism is in the engaged position and is lockable in the closed position by a manually operable handle catch. The front end of a handle cover is rotatably connected to the front end of the handle. The cover has a cover catch on the rear end, which is engagable with the latch mechanism to hold the cover closed. The cover is substantially coextensive with and in abutment with the handle. When the latch is mounted overhead and is open, the handle extends downward by the force of gravity and the cover extends downward away from the handle. A device for use by a commercial driver in securing the doors of the vehicle while in another part of the vehicle would be inserted inside of the vehicle door on each side. The device would consist of a telescoping bar with an internal spring that automatically collapses the bar when released. The adjustment arm would telescope out of the housing of the device and lock into place to extend the overall length, directly across the interior width of the vehicle. On each end, a flat, rigid paddle would slide in between the window and the inside door panel, while a pair of elongated rigid members would extend outward from the attachment point to rest against the door frame. The elongated rigid members would retract, fold in, or otherwise be actuated to release the device and allow the door to be opened. 2.
