Устройство предназначено для замены сальника на штанге насоса в скважине, оборудованной штанговым глубинным насосом. Элементы силовой фиксации штанги содержат поперечину, в которую упирается штанга, нижнее и верхнее разрезное кольца, подпирающие снизу фланец трубы, на которой установлен сальник. Поперечина и кольца скреплены между собой шпильками. На место заменяемого сальника после его демонтажа для дополнительной фиксации штанги устанавливают разрезной корпус. В разрезной корпус по конической резьбе заворачивают разрезное кольцо с уплотнениями в канавках. Фиксация штанги от выброса в процессе замены сальника обеспечивает безопасность проводимых работ.

A pair of spaced apart wheels are attached at the second end of the body. A split body with two halves connected by fasteners is used to pivotally attach the first end of the body to a handle of an auger. When the body is in the extended drilling position, the pair of spaced apart wheels roll along a ground surface away from the auger as the handle of the auger descends and the pair of spaced apart wheels act to stabilize the handle of the auger against reactive torque.

The manually operated boring tool is for making boreholes, esp. into natural soil for obtaining samples. A cylindrical hollow body has a sliding piston actuated by a rod connected to a handle. Boreholes can be made with this tool also in difficult stony ground. The piston (6) has an actuating rod (7) which slides within a tubular guide rod (4). The boring sleeve (1) top is closed and its lower edge has cutting teeth (2). These symmetrical teeth are sharpened on both edges (3) and the sleeve end with teeth is flared outwards. The sleeve is pressed in the ground with one foot and the operating handle is rotated in both directions by hand.

An auger stabilizer includes a rigid elongated body having a first end and a second end. The length of the body is adjustable between a retracted transport position and an extended drilling position. A split body with two halves connected by fasteners is used to pivotally attach the first end of the body to a handle of an auger. An ice auger includes a pair of ice boring blades fixedly attached to the bottom of a straight inner auger drive bar. A brace and bit arrangement at the top of the drive bar is for rotating the drive bar and either forcing it down toward the ice to bore a cylindrical hole of predetermined diameter through the ice or to force it up away from the ice after the hole has been bored to ream out a portion of that hole to form an inverted funnel shape opening. A tubular outer sleeve surrounds the drive bar and is movable between an upper boring condition and a lower reaming condition with respect to the drive bar. Two slotted longitudinally extending ice reaming blades are pivotally mounted at their top portions to the ream control sleeve. A reaming blade camming support bar attached to a bottom portion of the drive bar carries camming pins slidable in the reaming blade slots. These reaming blades move between position inside the predetermined diameter and partially outside of it with movement of the sleeve along the drive bar.

A drilling machine structure is disclosed, characterized in which handles are arranged on the machine body for holding by the operator with both hands. Between the two handles there are assembled a power motor and a plurality of gear plates with different number of teeth to drive respectively center tip and spiral-shaped rotary blade at the lower part of machine body. The center tip and rotary blade are made of different materials in view of the drilling needs. As such, when drilling a hole, the drilling machine drills with the center tip in alignment with the hole center to guide the varying-speed cutters peripherally arranged at the very bottom of rotary blade to perform real rotary cutting and drilling, and the chips from the cutting are instantly and continuously brought to the surface through a lead hole disposed above each cutter under the driving of rotary blade, thereby achieving smooth drilling in different occasions.

The invention is an improvement in a soil sampling tool of the type having a handle and a cylindrical sampling barrel with an aperture in the upper end. An ejector extends through the aperture and is attached to a plunger for urging the soil sample out of the barrel. In the improvement, the ejector and aperture define an annular clearance between them so that when a soil sample is taken (and the plunger thereby urged toward the barrel upper end), air can exhaust from the barrel. The plunger includes a boss which extends into and seals the aperture when the plunger is at or near its uppermost position. In that way, vapors of volatile organic compounds are prevented from escaping through the aperture. The tool also includes a cap for sealing the lower end of the barrel so that such vapors cannot escape from the barrel. The improved tool is particularly useful for taking and later analyzing soil samples relating to possible leaking underground storage tanks which contain or have contained petroleum distillates, e.g., gasoline or kerosene.

The soil probe member is elongated in length and allows for a continuous soil sample to be received in a hollow receptacle within the interior of the soil probe member. A hammer member having a rod with a collar, and a hammer section slidable on the rod, cooperates with the soil probe member to allow a hammer to assist in forcing the soil probe into the soil. A connection assembly allows an extension tube to be removably secured to the soil probe member.

A lateral boring device for effective utility installation under sidewalks, driveways, and other obstacles. The present invention utilizes a hand-held drill, a flexible shaft, a blade attachable to the flexible shaft, and a metal sock. The operator of the present invention makes an incision into the ground with the blade in close proximity to the obstacle intended to be circumvented. The operator commences boring, and the flexible shaft begins to descend below the ground and underneath the obstacle. The low power of the drill prevents the flexible shaft from continuing to descend below the hardpan, and cause the flexible shaft to bend in a generally upwardly horizontal direction. The low power of the drill also prevents the flexible shaft or the blade from causing damage to the underside of the obstacle, and eventually the flexible shaft resurfaces on the opposite side of the obstacle. Upon resurfacing, the operator removes the blade and attaches the sock, which can be coupled to the length of wire, pipe or conduit and pulled back through the bore hole.

A tool blade for use with a handle includes a pan having a top surface and bottom surface opposite the top surface, the pan having a top edge and a cutting edge opposite the top edge and having a pair of opposed side edges extending between the top edge and the cutting edge. The top edge of the pan includes a handle sleeve defining a channel configured to receive an end of the handle. The bottom edge is integrally connected to the pan and is sharpened so as to penetrate a ground surface. A plurality of grating teeth is formed on the pan, each grating tooth having a scoop projecting outwardly from the pan and a cutout. A cutout traverses through the pan and defines an opening connecting the top and bottom surfaces. A respective scoop includes a portion partially covering the cutout and having an arcuate cutting edge.

The present invention is a light-weight, single handle post hole digger that can include an outer handle and an inner shaft. The post hole digger can have two blade that are used to cut into the ground and to loosen soil when in an open position and then used to capture and remove soil when in a closed position. A first blade can be attached to the inner shaft by an adjustable pin or bolt and a second movable blade can be connected to the outer handle. A link bar can be connected to the outer handle at a sleeve pivot connection and connected to said movable blade at a blade pivot connection so that when the outer handle is rotated, the blades move between an open position and a closed position. The link bar can be disposed generally orthogonal to an axis defined along the length of the outer handle.
