The invention relates to a method for repairing a printing roller having a roller base body made ( 10 ) of plastic or a plastic compound material. Into the two end regions ( 14 ) of the roller base body, bearing support members ( 16 ) are inserted, said bearing support members being connected to the roller base body ( 10 ) by bonding. Due to the occurrence of high stresses during the operation of the printing roller, inner surfaces ( 24 ) of the bearing support members ( 16 ) may be damaged. The damaged bearing support members ( 16 ) will be milled on their inner surfaces ( 24 ). Then, a respective sleeve ( 32,44 ) is inserted into the bearing support members ( 16 ). The inner surfaces ( 36 ) of the sleeves ( 32,44 ) serve for taking up outer bearing rings ( 26 ) of the roller bearings supporting the printing roller. The invention further relates to a printing roller with inserted sleeve ( 32,44 ).

The outer circumferential surface of the inner ring ( 2 ) is formed as a convexly curved surface, and the inner circumferential surface of the outer ring ( 3 ) is formed as a concavely curved surface corresponding to the convexly curved surface. The outer ring ( 3 ) is composed of two radially halved parts. The inner ring ( 2 ) is fitted on the outer ring ( 3 ) by sandwiching the inner ring ( 2 ) between the radially halved parts of the outer ring ( 3 ) in such a way that the inner circumferential surface of the outer ring ( 3 ) and the outer circumferential surface of the inner ring ( 2 ) slide relative to each other.

A rotary drum dryer is supported by magnetic non-contact bearings rather than by rollers or wheels which are normally used to support a rotary drum cylinder. A plurality of rare earth permanent magnets are positioned on the outside surface of the cylindrical dryer to form at least two external annular rings. One U-shaped semi-circular channel supported with a cradle have similar rare earth permanent magnets positioned at selected locations on the inside curvature thereof with the open end facing upward and disposed below in alignment with and spaced apart from each one of the at least two annular rings of magnets supporting the on the cylindrical dryer. The plastic cylindrical member may engage with a cylindrical hole provided in the supportive arm. The upper end of the pivotally connective member may engage with a first connective hole and the lower end of the pivotally connective member may engage with a second connective hole of the roller. A roller structure includes a roller having an axial hole and an axle portion disposed in the axial hole to allow the roller to rotate about the axle portion; a sleeve with an end disposed at an end of the axle portion and another end having a fitting portion, the fitting portion being fitted to a carried object, the sleeve has a first blocking portion positioned proximate to a side of the roller to allow the roller to rotate between the first blocking portion and the fitting portion, wherein one of the axle portion, the axial hole and the first blocking portion has a substance conducive to reduction of friction between the roller and the sleeve. A method of manufacturing the roller structure is further introduced.

A sliding bearing is made of a resin and includes a tubular portion that includes an outer peripheral surface including a D-cut surface.
